Tesla said it produced over 1,000 Cybertrucks in a single week in April 2024. That confirms a one-week production milestone at Gigafactory Texas—not a sustained pace of 1,000 trucks every week. Tesla’s later public production figures do not disclose a current Cybertruck-specific weekly rate.
What Tesla confirmed in April 2024
In its Q1 2024 quarterly update, Tesla wrote: “We produced over 1,000 Cybertrucks in a single week in April.” The company did not describe that result as a recurring weekly rate. The statement establishes that production exceeded 1,000 units during one week; it does not establish that the factory maintained that pace before or after it.

That distinction matters because a peak week and a steady production rate answer different questions. A factory can record a milestone in one week without sustaining the same output across subsequent weeks or quarters.
How to read Tesla’s later capacity and production figures
| Disclosure | What Tesla reported | What it does—and does not—show |
|---|---|---|
| April 2024, one week | Over 1,000 Cybertrucks produced in a single week | A Cybertruck-specific, one-week production milestone; not a confirmed ongoing weekly rate. |
| Q1 2026, Gigafactory Texas | Installed annual Cybertruck capacity above 125,000 | Installed capacity, not actual production or proof of a sustained weekly pace. |
| Q2 2026, all models | 451,758 vehicles produced, including 8,822 listed under “Other models” | The published figures do not break out Cybertruck production, so they cannot establish its output on their own. |
Tesla’s Q1 2026 update lists installed annual Cybertruck capacity above 125,000 at Texas. Installed capacity describes the facility’s stated production capability, not how many vehicles it actually builds in a particular week or quarter. It should not be divided into a weekly figure and presented as actual output.

Tesla’s Q2 2026 financial results report 451,758 vehicles produced across all models and 8,822 in the combined “Other models” category. The results do not give a Cybertruck-specific total. Because the group includes models rather than identifying Cybertruck output, its number cannot be used to calculate the truck’s production rate.
Is Tesla still making 1,000 Cybertrucks per week?
The available official figures do not answer that with a Cybertruck-specific weekly rate. Tesla’s 2024 statement is limited to one week, its later annual-capacity disclosure is not an output tally, and its Q2 2026 production report groups Cybertruck with other models rather than providing a separate count. It would therefore be inaccurate to claim either that Tesla continues to make 1,000 a week or that it has stopped doing so based on these figures alone.

What Tesla says can affect production
Tesla says production rates can depend on equipment uptime, component supply, downtime for factory upgrades, regulatory considerations, and other factors. Its Q1 2026 update also identifies battery pack capacity as a constraint on near-term increases in vehicle production. These are company-stated factors that can shape production; they do not establish why the April 2024 milestone occurred or explain any particular Cybertruck output level afterward.
