Lando Norris visited Daniel Ricciardo at his Perth property during Formula 1’s January 2024 off-season. Ricciardo later confirmed the farm visit in a Formula 1 interview, describing it as a chance to spend time together away from racing.
When Norris visited Ricciardo in Perth
PerthNow reported on 9 January 2024 that Norris had arrived in Western Australia to visit Ricciardo, his former McLaren teammate. The visit took place during the drivers’ break ahead of the 2024 season, not during a current trip.
Ricciardo later gave his own account in a Formula 1 interview published on 12 May 2024. He said Norris had been travelling and asked whether he could come by for a few days. Ricciardo agreed, and confirmed that Norris visited his farm.

Ricciardo said he enjoyed seeing Norris outside the track environment, where drivers do not often get the chance to spend time together. As he put it, “It’s kind of nice just hanging out with him.” (Formula 1 interview, 12 May 2024.)

The Hoodburger stop
PerthNow also reported that Norris shared photos from Ricciardo’s property and that the pair stopped at Hoodburger, where they took selfies with fans. Those details come from the contemporaneous local report; Ricciardo’s later interview independently confirms the farm visit, but does not confirm each of these other reported moments. How the visit differs from Ricciardo’s WA road-trip campaign
Ricciardo was also the face of a separate Western Australian tourism campaign promoting self-drive holidays. The state government described that campaign as following Ricciardo and a friend on a journey from Perth to Exmouth along the Coral Coast Highway. That was a different trip and does not establish that Norris joined him on the route. (Western Australian Government, 28 September 2023.)
