The Daymak Beast ATV Ultimate’s 223-mile figure was a 2018 maximum-range claim for a configuration with up to seven optional extra batteries—not the range reported for the standard setup, and not a verified real-world result. New Atlas reported about 62 miles for the standard battery configuration, but did not describe a range-test method or conditions.
Which Daymak ATV did the 223-mile claim refer to?
It referred to the Beast ATV Ultimate, described in a November 7, 2018 New Atlas report by Nick Lavars as a four-wheel-drive electric ATV. The report attributed its specifications to Daymak; it did not present them as results of independent testing.
The key distinction is battery configuration: the report gave an estimated range of around 100 km (62 mi) for the standard setup, and up to 360 km (223 mi) when equipped with as many as seven extra batteries. The source does not explain how either range figure was measured, or specify terrain, speed, load, weather, or other test conditions. Treat 223 miles as a reported maximum claim, not a dependable planning figure.

What did optional batteries cost in the original report?
New Atlas reported a US$9,999 starting price in 2018 for the configuration including one lithium-ion battery and the lead-acid backup. Each additional battery was reported to add US$2,000, and the fully equipped configuration was listed at US$23,999. These are historical reported prices, not current quotes; the article does not establish present-day availability or pricing.

How did the Ultimate differ from the 2016 Ultra Beast?
The 2018 report said the earlier Ultra Beast used three motors with 2,000 W total output, while the Ultimate used two 1,000 W motors for the same combined output. It also described the Ultimate as six inches (15 cm) slimmer, with the front wheels brought within the wheel wells. Those reported dimensions and motor layouts do not establish a controlled comparison of range, handling, or off-road performance.
What should a prospective buyer verify?
The New Atlas article said the ATV was available through Daymak dealers around the world at the time. That 2018 statement does not confirm that the Beast ATV Ultimate is still sold or supported. Before relying on its specifications or making a purchase decision, confirm directly with Daymak or an authorized dealer:

- Which battery configurations are available now, how additional batteries are installed, and the current total price.
- What range the seller can substantiate for the intended terrain, load, and riding conditions; the 2018 report supplied no test protocol.
- Whether the listed speed, equipment, and specifications apply to the exact vehicle being offered.
The reported winch was standard equipment, but the 2018 article named no winch model or replacement fitment details. Confirm compatibility with Daymak or a dealer before buying a replacement.
