What is the Daon Ravy?
Daon TNT, an Incheon-based motorhome specialist, converted the small Kia Ray into the Ravy. The Ray is the base vehicle; Ravy is the conversion. New Atlas described it in October 2020 as a micro-campervan, and a second report that November covered similar features. Neither report establishes whether the conversion is currently sold or available for export.
The concept makes use of two levels in a compact vehicle: a pop-up roof creates extra headroom and carries an upper sleeping platform, while the main cabin serves as a lounge or lower bed. At the rear, a slide-out galley provides a basic place to prepare food.
How the pop-top and sleeping areas work
According to New Atlas’s 2020 report, the main mattress measures 49 × 79 inches (125 × 200 cm). It spans much of the cabin and can be raised into a sofa when the front seats are upright. The roof platform is reported at 41 × 74 inches (105 × 188 cm). These are figures reported by the publication, not independent measurements.

New Atlas said the Ravy could carry two people while traveling and sleep three or four depending on use of the upper bed. That reported sleeping capacity is not a comfort rating: the article provides no adult-comfort testing or occupant-weight guidance.
Kitchen, power and heating
The rear slide-out galley was reported to include a sink and a drawer sized to hold a single-burner stove. The 2020 New Atlas article says the Ravy had no refrigerator or cooler; dishes were kept in organizers integrated with the blackout window shades. A stove is not established as included equipment.

The same report describes a 100-Ah leisure battery powering charging outlets, with a tailgate control area offering 220-V, 12-V and USB outlets. It also reports heating routed into the upper sleeping roof. These are descriptions from 2020 coverage, not a current Daon specification sheet.
How small is the Kia Ray base vehicle?
Kia Korea’s current Ray specifications list the base vehicle at 3,595 mm long, 1,595 mm wide and 1,700 mm high, with a 2,520 mm wheelbase. These are base-Ray dimensions, not measurements of the converted Ravy, whose added pop-top may affect its overall height.

Kia Korea lists the Ray’s 1.0-liter gasoline engine at 76 PS and 9.7 kgf·m maximum torque. Its official combined fuel-economy figures are 12.9 km/L with 14-inch tires and 12.6 km/L with 15-inch tires. Those figures apply to the base vehicle as listed by Kia Korea; they are not real-world camper fuel-economy results.

New Atlas reported a starting price of KRW 25.6 million for the Ravy when its article was published on October 25, 2020. That is a historical Korean-market figure, not a current quote, and it should not be converted into a present-day U.S. price.

Kia Korea’s pricing page, marked effective September 1, 2026, lists prices for the base Ray, not the Daon conversion. A current Ravy price, stock status and export availability are not established by the available sources. Anyone considering one would need to confirm current details directly with the converter or a local vehicle importer.
What makes the Ravy appealing—and what to keep in mind
