The “Honda XJ Cherokee lookalike” is the DAMD REVERB, a front-end conversion kit for the Honda WR-V. Its square headlights, slot-style grille and squared-off hood evoke the classic Jeep Cherokee XJ, but the REVERB is an aftermarket styling conversion—not a Jeep product or a Honda factory edition. DAMD announced that orders reopened on August 21, 2026, after a temporary suspension; buyers should check the current product page for availability and installation arrangements.
What is the Honda XJ Cherokee lookalike?
It is a Honda WR-V customized by Japanese aftermarket company DAMD. DAMD calls the conversion REVERB and describes its face as evoking the XJ-generation Cherokee. The resemblance comes from a slot-style grille, square headlights, a hood extended forward for a squarer profile and a rugged-looking front bumper. Those changes are visual; they do not establish improved off-road capability or performance. DAMD’s REVERB product page provides the current kit specifications.
DAMD’s feature also shows a wood-look side decal, but identifies it as a demo prototype. Its appearance in the feature does not confirm that the decal is currently available for purchase.
What does the REVERB kit include?
DAMD specifies fitment for the Honda WR-V type 5BA-DG5, model year March 2024 onward. The face-change kit comprises a hood cover, front grille and bumper, square halogen headlights, wiring harness and brackets. DAMD’s June 6, 2025 launch notice says it applies across WR-V grades; cars without fog lamps use the included fog-lamp cover. DAMD’s launch notice lists the original kit details.

How much does the kit cost, and what finishes are available?
DAMD’s June 6, 2025 launch notice listed the unpainted kit at ¥298,000 before tax, or ¥327,800 including tax, plus shipping. These are historical listed prices, not a confirmed current quote; check DAMD for today’s price and any additional costs.
DAMD announced painted kits in Crystal Black Pearl and Platinum White Pearl starting October 24, 2025. For other factory colors, DAMD says buyers must arrange painting of the unpainted kit themselves. DAMD’s painted-kit notice describes those options.

What should WR-V owners check before choosing wheels or tires?
DAMD’s demo uses DEAN CROSS COUNTRY wheels and BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K03 tires in LT215/70 R16. DAMD explicitly warns that this tire size will not fit at normal ride height: it requires a lift and cutting on the bumper side. For a lift without that tire-size setup, DAMD recommends LT215/65 R16. The demo combination is not a stock-fitment recommendation; confirm fitment for your actual vehicle and modifications before buying tires.
DAMD also lists a 16-inch steel wheel option with 6.0J width, +50 offset and 5-hole PCD 114.3. Its page says WR-V X grade owners can reuse their stock 16-inch tires for this wheel change, while Z and Z+ grades with stock 17-inch wheels need tire replacement. Verify your grade and exact fitment with DAMD or an installer before ordering. DAMD’s product specifications contain the wheel and tire details.
