The standard DAB 1 could suit a rider looking for a premium electric supermoto for city and shorter mixed-use trips, but its listed price, claimed range and local licensing and service arrangements deserve a close check before purchase. DAB lists it from €9,990 including 20% VAT and classifies it as L3e-A1; its range figures are manufacturer estimates, not independent road-test results.
What is the standard DAB 1?
The DAB 1 is DAB Motors’ standard electric motorcycle, described by the manufacturer as a supermoto and specified in category L3e-A1. It is distinct from the limited DAB 1α edition and the BRABUS collaboration, which have separate pricing and product pages. The standard DAB 1 is listed from €9,990 including 20% VAT on DAB’s product page, accessed October 8, 2026. Country pricing, taxes, delivery charges and incentives may change the amount a buyer actually pays. DAB 1 product page
How much power does it have, and what licence do you need?
DAB lists 23 kW peak power (31 hp), 8 kW nominal power, 395 Nm torque at the wheel and a 120 km/h top speed. Its full specifications also give the battery as 72 V, with 7.1 kWh maximum and 6.2 kWh nominal capacity. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independently verified measurements. DAB identifies the motorcycle as L3e-A1 and says a 125cc licence is required. Licence eligibility, age limits, training requirements and recognition of licences differ by jurisdiction. Confirm the rules with your local licensing authority before ordering; the manufacturer’s category statement alone does not establish that a particular rider can legally use the bike in their country.

What range does DAB claim?
DAB estimates up to 150 km in city use and 120 km combined on the WMTC cycle. The figures are not interchangeable: the city estimate describes a different use case from the combined-cycle figure, and neither guarantees the distance a particular rider will achieve. DAB says actual range varies with riding style, payload, outside temperature and road profile. DAB 1 product page · DAB 1 full specifications
For a first electric motorcycle, plan around your regular route rather than the largest advertised figure. Consider the distance between reliable charging opportunities, likely passenger or luggage load, weather and road conditions. The published figures can help frame the question, but they do not establish real-world range for your commute.
How long does charging take, and where can you charge?
DAB’s full specification page gives approximate charging times of 3.5–4 hours from 0% to 100%, 3 hours from 20% to 100%, and 1.5 hours from 50% to 100%. These are manufacturer estimates. The cited page does not establish a universal charging time for every power source or setup, so confirm the included cable, connector and charging requirements for the market where you will buy.

- 100% brand new and high quality.
- Made of high quality material, durable and practical to use.
- Delicate and exquisite, highly match the equipment.
- Solid and durable, long service life.
- Easy to install and reliable to use.
DAB lists a Type 2 adapter as an optional accessory, not as standard equipment. If you expect to use public charging stations, ask DAB to confirm the adapter’s compatibility with the bike and the stations you plan to use; the listing does not establish that an arbitrary adapter will work. Can you buy and register it where you live?
DAB says it delivers to the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the UAE, and regularly delivers to some non-EU countries that recognize EU homologation. The manufacturer says delivery is not currently available in the United States or most Asian countries. Delivery availability does not by itself guarantee that the motorcycle can be registered or used locally: import, homologation, tax and registration rules vary. Check with DAB and your local authority before committing. DAB 1 product page
What is included, and which options matter?
DAB’s full specifications list a charging cable and Bosch toolbox among the included items. The same page lists optional accessories and configuration items, including a Quadlock CNC charging mount, rack, dual seat, Type 2 adapter, customization, discs and suspension. Confirm the current contents, compatibility, regional availability and cost with DAB rather than assuming an item shown on the specification page is included with every purchase.

The specification page lists a two-year warranty and worldwide delivery and servicing. Treat that as the manufacturer’s published offer, not proof that support is equally accessible in every country. Ask who handles warranty work locally, how parts are obtained, and what servicing entails for your location before buying. DAB 1 full specifications

The standard DAB 1 should not be confused with the DAB 1α or BRABUS collaboration. DAB lists the limited DAB 1α from €14,900 on its edition page. Its BRABUS page lists a price of €16,900 excluding VAT and planned first deliveries at the end of Q3 2026, subject to timing adjustments. These are separate edition-specific figures; they are not the standard DAB 1 price or a guarantee of current availability. DAB 1α edition page · BRABUS × DAB page
Is it a sensible first e-moto?
The DAB 1 is worth considering if its L3e-A1 category matches your licence eligibility, your normal trips fit the range you can realistically plan for, and you have a suitable charging arrangement. Its published power and speed figures point to a full-sized road motorcycle rather than a low-speed urban scooter, while the €9,990 starting price places it in a substantial purchase category. The available manufacturer information does not establish independent handling, comfort, durability or real-world range performance, so do not treat specifications as a substitute for a local demonstration or a direct answer from DAB about service and ownership support.
Before ordering, get written confirmation of the final local price, delivery and registration requirements, included equipment, charging compatibility, warranty coverage and where service will be provided. Those details will determine whether the DAB 1 is practical as a first electric motorcycle in your circumstances.
