The company reported times from 1:19.73 to 2:03.17 and said they were verified with a Racelogic VBOX GNSS-based system. The claim describes that campaign—not five records that all remain current today.
What five California records did the Czinger 21C set?
Czinger Vehicles announced the California Gold Rush campaign on August 18, 2025, alongside a 25-minute documentary of the effort. The company said the route ran south from Northern California, linking five circuits over five consecutive days. Its reported laps were:

Both the times and the margins in the table are Czinger’s campaign claims, not independently established venue records across all five tracks. The company said Racelogic verified the laps using a VBOX GNSS-based system and that the results were witnessed on site. The release does not establish that each circuit separately certified its time. See Czinger’s August 18, 2025 announcement.
Is the Laguna Seca time still the record?
No. Czinger’s campaign lap at Laguna Seca was 1:24.39 in August 2025. The circuit’s official record page now lists a faster 1:22.30 production-vehicle lap by a Czinger 21C High Downforce in December 2025. That later listing is a separate result and should not be confused with the California Gold Rush time. Laguna Seca’s official track-record page also recounts earlier changes in the production-car benchmark: the 21C set a 1:25.44 record in 2021, Koenigsegg briefly took it in 2024, and Czinger returned with a 1:24.75 eight days later.

How did the 21C make the five-track run?
The campaign was presented as more than a string of isolated track sessions: Czinger said the team drove 1,000 miles on public roads between the circuits across five consecutive days. Chief Engineer Ewan Baldry and a team of eight engineers led the effort, according to the company. The release does not provide a detailed route log or conditions for each lap, so the road distance is best understood as the manufacturer’s campaign figure.
Czinger describes the 21C as a strong hybrid combining an in-house 2.88-liter twin-turbo V8 with 800-volt electric drive. Its current specifications page lists 1,250 hp (932 kW) combined output and a 1,350 hp option. These are manufacturer specifications, not measurements from the five-day campaign. The car also uses computational design, additive manufacturing and carbon-fiber structures; “3D-printed” refers to components and structures, not an entirely printed car. What the record claim does—and does not—establish
The California Gold Rush is a dated manufacturer-reported campaign with five named tracks, five published lap times and a stated timing method. It demonstrates the scope of the feat Czinger claimed in August 2025, but lap times are meaningful only in context: circuit configuration, record class, session conditions and verification rules can affect comparisons. The available venue record information confirms a later Laguna Seca benchmark, but does not independently confirm all five campaign laps.
In Czinger’s release, Chief Engineer Ewan Baldry described the effort as proving that “innovation, collaboration, and sheer determination can change what the future of performance looks like.” That is the company-published view of its campaign, rather than an independent assessment.
