The Czinger 21C set a production-car record at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, climbing the 1.16-mile hill in 48.82 seconds with Chris Ward at the wheel, according to event owner Goodwood. That was a category record—not the fastest time of the event.
What is the Czinger 21C Goodwood record?
Goodwood reports that the 21C completed the Festival of Speed hillclimb in 48.82 seconds, setting the production-car record. The road-going car used the full width of the 1.16-mile course. Goodwood published its account on September 27, 2024, after the event.
A separate contemporary report gives a slightly different time: Joe Salas of New Atlas reported 48.83 seconds on July 16, 2024. The 0.01-second difference should not be erased; Goodwood, as event owner, is the strongest source for the official event figure.

Who drove the Czinger 21C, and how fast was the climb?
Chris Ward drove the 21C up Goodwood’s 1.16-mile hillclimb. New Atlas describes the course as a nine-turn climb and gives its length as 1.87 km. The 48.82-second time means the run lasted less than a minute, but the achievement is best understood as a record in the production-car category rather than a claim about every vehicle at the event.

Was the Czinger 21C the fastest car at Goodwood?
No. The 21C’s achievement was a production-car record. In its report on the event, New Atlas ranked the run fifth fastest among all competitors and named the Ford Supervan 4.2 as overall winner, with a reported time of 43.98 seconds.

These are different distinctions: the 21C’s record applies to production cars, while the Supervan’s time was the overall winning result reported for the event. Goodwood’s public entry list, dated July 2, 2024, also lists a 2024 Czinger 21C entered by Czinger Vehicles Inc. as timed; that entry confirms participation, not the run time.

How much horsepower does the Czinger 21C have?
The figures vary by source and configuration. Goodwood’s 2024 coverage described the car at Goodwood as producing a combined 1,267 PS (932 kW), from a 2.9-liter V8 and two electric motors, one driving each front wheel. Those are Goodwood’s event-era figures.
Czinger’s current specifications page describes the 21C range as a strong hybrid with an 800V electric drive and a 2.88-liter, twin-turbo, flat-plane-crank V8. The manufacturer lists 1,250 hp combined, with a 1,350 hp option. Because these sources describe the car at different times and use different units, the figures should not be treated as interchangeable measurements of one identical configuration.

Czinger also claims 0–62 mph in 1.9 seconds and a VMax top speed of up to 253 mph. These are manufacturer specifications, not measurements from the Goodwood hillclimb.

The 21C is a hybrid hypercar built around a tandem, two-seat layout and a high-output V8/electric powertrain. Czinger’s current specifications page lists Spyder, HDF and VMax variants. The company says production is limited to 80 vehicles and directs prospective buyers to inquire; this is an exclusive, limited-production car, not a practical consumer-car recommendation.

Czinger has also described a separate 2025 California Gold Rush campaign in which the 21C set five circuit records in five days. The company says those records were verified using a Racelogic VBOX GNSS-based system and witnessed on site. They concern California circuits, not Goodwood’s hillclimb, and do not change what the 2024 Goodwood production-car record represents.
