A viral Dallas sighting showed a clothes dryer temporarily strapped to a Tesla Cybertruck’s bed—not a washer or a factory-installed laundry machine. The truck’s driver said he used the dryer during the stunt and planned to remove it.
What was attached to the Cybertruck?
It was a clothes dryer. Some retellings described the appliance as a washing machine, but the driver told Futurism it was a dryer. The report did not identify its make or model.
The appliance was strapped to the truck bed temporarily. It was not built into the Cybertruck, and the report does not establish how it was powered or connected. The video alone is not enough to determine the setup’s electrical details or safe load limits.
Who was driving, and why?
Futurism’s Maggie Harrison Dupré reported on August 29, 2024, that the driver was Vladimir, a Dallas handyman associated with the business Handy&Man. The business name appeared on the truck and helped the reporter contact him after a video was posted to Reddit with the caption “Cyber laundry seen in Dallas.”

Vladimir described the stunt as a joke and a way to show something he thought no other car could do. As quoted in Futurism’s account of its phone interview, he said: “I just wanted to make fun… basically, no car can do this, other than the Cybertruck.” He also said people who saw the truck went from serious expressions to smiling and waving.
How long did he drive with it?
Vladimir told Futurism he drove with the dryer attached for roughly 40 to 50 minutes, used it to dry some things, and expected to remove it soon. Those details are his account of a one-off stunt, not a test of the Cybertruck’s hauling capacity or a recommendation for transporting or operating an appliance this way.
