Cube Series sells two different canvas-free pop-up RVs: a pickup-bed camper and a towable trailer. Both use hard walls, but their weights, dimensions, vehicle requirements and configurations are not interchangeable. The trailer is marketed as four-season, with a furnace and a heated holding-tank area; that designation describes the manufacturer’s intended capability, not independently verified performance in every winter condition.
What is the Cube Series hard-wall pop-up?
Cube Series’ concept replaces the usual canvas-sided pop-up section with solid walls. The company describes the trailer’s structure as aluminum framing with fiberglass-composite walls and roof, and pairs its powered roof-opening system with a furnace. New Atlas covered the trailer’s launch in May 2024 as a towable adaptation of Cube Series’ lifting hard-wall pickup camper; its launch-era pricing should not be treated as current.
Start by identifying which vehicle you mean. The trailer is towed behind a vehicle. The truck camper sits in a pickup bed. They are separate products with substantially different specifications.
Trailer specifications—and a weight discrepancy
Cube Series’ trailer page lists the following approximate specifications and says measurements may change. However, the same page also gives different dimensions and claims a fully equipped weight below 1,600 pounds. Those statements conflict with the listed approximate 2,730-pound base weight; they should not be combined or used to calculate a towing match until Cube Series confirms the figures for the exact build.

| Trailer specification | Manufacturer-listed figure |
|---|---|
| Approximate base weight | 2,730 lb |
| Width | 92 in |
| Standard length | 17 ft 7 in |
| Off-road version length | 20 ft 3 in |
| Interior height | 7 ft 1 in |
| Collapsed height | 6 ft 4 in |
| Open height | 9 ft 8 in |
These are the figures shown in Cube Series’ trailer specifications; the page calls measurements approximate and subject to change. Its conflicting fully equipped-weight statement means the listed base weight is not a verified loaded weight or a reliable stand-alone towing figure. Ask the manufacturer or dealer for the confirmed weight and dimensions of the configuration being quoted.
Truck camper specifications are different
Truck Camper Magazine’s guide labeled for 2026 reports a Cube Series pickup-bed camper base MSRP of $43,509, a dry weight of 1,206 lb and a calculated wet weight of 1,980 lb. The guide says Cube Series supplied the specifications, explains its wet-weight calculation and cautions that options add weight. These numbers apply to the truck camper—not the trailer. The guide is dated September 20, 2024, so confirm current pricing and the quoted build before making a purchase decision.

| Pickup-bed camper figure | Guide listing | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Base MSRP | $43,509 | Listed in Truck Camper Magazine’s guide labeled 2026, dated September 20, 2024; verify current price and configuration. |
| Dry weight | 1,206 lb | Manufacturer-supplied specification as reported by the guide; options add weight. |
| Calculated wet weight | 1,980 lb | Guide-calculated figure; consult its methodology and confirm the camper’s actual loaded weight. |
For a truck camper, compare the actual loaded camper and all occupants, passengers, accessories and cargo with the pickup’s payload limits. For the trailer, check the tow vehicle’s ratings and the trailer’s confirmed loaded weight. A dry or base figure alone does not establish that a vehicle is suitable.
Equipment and configuration choices
The trailer specification table lists an 18,000-BTU furnace, 25-gallon fresh-water and grey-water capacities, a 2.5-gallon cassette toilet if equipped, and a 30-amp shore-power connection. Other equipment text on the same page gives different tank capacities and a 19,000-BTU furnace. Treat the table figures as manufacturer-listed, not as a confirmed specification for every build; request the exact equipment list for the unit you are considering.

The configurator presents options including a wet bath with cassette toilet and shower, air conditioning, an off-road package, solar configurations and an off-grid package. Rather than assume these are standard, ask which are included in the quoted price and which add weight or require other equipment. Cube Series’ configuration page prompts buyers to consider camping style, sleeping needs, bathroom preference, cooking habits and floor-plan priorities.
- Where will you camp? Decide whether your usual sites offer shore power and hookups or whether off-grid equipment matters.
- Who needs to sleep inside? Match the layout to the number of people and the way they will use the space.
- What bathroom setup do you want? Compare a wet bath and cassette toilet with your intended use and maintenance preferences.
- Which options affect the build? Confirm the chosen solar, air conditioning, off-road and off-grid equipment, as well as its effect on weight, dimensions and price.
What “four-season” does—and does not—establish
Cube Series labels the trailer “4 Season” and describes a furnace and heated holding-tank area. New Atlas’ May 2024 launch report also described a furnace, heated tanks and a winterization system. These sources support describing the trailer as designed and marketed for four-season use; they do not provide independent cold-weather testing or establish performance at a particular temperature, in high winds or under every moisture condition.

Hard walls alone do not establish insulation performance, guarantee warmth or eliminate condensation. Cube Series’ warranty exclusions address weather-related damage, condensation and moisture effects, mold, and damage associated with improper winterization. The owner manual says not to travel with the camper or trailer raised. For winterization or de-winterization, it states: “Cube Series HIGHLY RECCOMENDENDS THAT CUSTOMERS SEEK EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS TO PERFORM THE WINTERIZATION, OR DE-WINTERIZATION PROCESS FOR ALL Cube Series RV PRODUCTS.”

Compare like with like. Oru’s Bruin is a truck-bed camper whose V3 hard-wall system is paired with marine-grade tent fabric; KOVR describes an insulated composite hard-wall pop-up truck camper. Neither is a direct trailer equivalent to Cube Series’ towable model. The available product descriptions do not establish independent head-to-head results for insulation, winter performance, setup time or durability against canvas models.

For any alternative, first compare form factor, vehicle compatibility, confirmed loaded weight, dimensions, included equipment and the layout you need. Then assess the manufacturer’s cold-weather claims against your climate and winterization requirements rather than treating “hard wall” or “four-season” as a performance test.
Quick Recap
What to confirm before ordering
- Choose the form factor. Decide whether you need a pickup-bed camper or a towable trailer; use only the specifications for that product.
- Verify vehicle capacity. For a camper, check pickup payload with passengers and cargo included. For a trailer, check tow ratings and the confirmed loaded trailer weight.
- Get build-specific specifications in writing. Resolve the trailer page’s conflicting weight, dimension and equipment statements. Confirm the actual build’s weight, dimensions, tank capacities, furnace rating and included options.
- Match the layout and equipment to your trips. Confirm sleeping arrangements, bathroom choice, cooking priorities, shore-power needs, solar and off-grid equipment, and whether air conditioning or the off-road package is included.
- Plan for cold-weather care. Ask how the plumbing and holding-tank area are protected in your intended conditions and how the unit should be winterized. Follow the owner manual’s guidance and do not travel with the roof raised.
- Confirm current price and availability. Request a current quote from Cube Series or a dealer for the specific configuration rather than relying on historical launch coverage or a dated guide.
