Koenigsegg lists the current Gemera HV8 with 2,300 hp and 2,750 Nm, but those manufacturer specifications are not a timed acceleration-and-braking run. The benchmark in Koenigsegg’s record history is the Jesko Absolut’s manufacturer-reported 25.21 seconds, set in 2025.
What the Gemera’s performance figures establish—and what they don’t
Koenigsegg describes the Gemera as a four-seat Mega-GT and lists its current HV8 and Dark Matter motor system at 2,300 hp and 2,750 Nm. Those are the company’s specifications, not independent test results. They show that the Gemera has serious stated performance credentials; they do not establish how quickly a particular Gemera can accelerate to 400 km/h and then stop.
The distinction matters because a 0–400–0 km/h run measures a complete sequence: acceleration to 400 km/h followed by braking to a stop. A power rating, a claim about reaching 400 km/h, or a time for the acceleration leg alone cannot substitute for a timed full run.
The Jesko Absolut is Koenigsegg’s documented benchmark
Koenigsegg’s history page identifies the Jesko Absolut as the holder of its current 0–400–0 km/h record: 25.21 seconds at Örebro on August 7, 2025. The company reports 16.77 seconds for the 0–400 km/h acceleration and 8.44 seconds for the 400–0 km/h braking leg. See Koenigsegg’s history page and its 2025 record release.

- Brand new box
- Real rubber tires.
- Detailed interior, exterior.
- Made of diecast metal with some plastic parts.
- Manufacturer's original unopened packaging.
The previous Jesko Absolut mark, reported by Koenigsegg in 2024, was 27.83 seconds for the full run, including 18.82 seconds to reach 400 km/h. The company’s 2024 record video says the car ran on E85 with Michelin Cup2 R tires. Both records are manufacturer-reported events; they are not a controlled comparison between a Jesko and a Gemera.
Why the Gemera’s 2020 400 km/h claim is not a record result
When Koenigsegg introduced the Gemera in concept form in 2020, it said the car could accelerate from 0 to 400 km/h in a single gear. The company’s 2020 Gemera press information stated: “That is why the Gemera has 3500 Nm of torque from standstill and why it can accelerate from 0-400 km/h in a single gear.” This is a launch-era manufacturer claim, not a published timed 0–400–0 run. It gives no time for reaching 400 km/h and says nothing about the braking leg.
That launch statement also belongs to the original powertrain context. It should not be combined with the current Gemera page’s HV8 and Dark Matter specifications as if both descriptions document one unchanged configuration. Koenigsegg’s current Gemera model page lists 2,300 hp and 2,750 Nm for the HV8/Dark Matter system.
How to read the comparison
| Question | Jesko Absolut | Gemera |
|---|---|---|
| Published 0–400–0 km/h time | 25.21 seconds, reported by Koenigsegg for the August 7, 2025 run at Örebro. | No timed result stated in the cited Koenigsegg sources. |
| Published 0–400 km/h time | 16.77 seconds in the 2025 record run, reported by Koenigsegg. | No timed result stated in the cited Koenigsegg sources. The 2020 press material made a one-gear acceleration claim but did not give a time. |
| Published 400–0 km/h time | 8.44 seconds in the 2025 record run, reported by Koenigsegg. | No timed result stated in the cited Koenigsegg sources. |
| Role or configuration in the cited material | The Jesko Absolut completed the cited record runs. | Koenigsegg presents the Gemera as a four-seat Mega-GT; the current model page lists an HV8/Dark Matter system. |
The available figures therefore do not support a numerical prediction of a Gemera-versus-Jesko result. There is no published Gemera split for acceleration or braking in the cited sources, and no controlled head-to-head run to compare the cars under the same conditions.

- Matchbox 2021 Koenigsegg Gemera 45/100 (Grey)
A four-seat Mega-GT with a production program, not a proven record challenger
Koenigsegg says it first showed the Gemera in concept form in 2020, calls it the company’s first four-seater, and limits the model to 300 cars. The company’s 2024 annual report says the Gemera production line had begun production. Those details put the car’s intended role in context: it is presented as a highly powerful four-seat Mega-GT, while the cited 0–400–0 record belongs to the Jesko Absolut.
Until Koenigsegg publishes a Gemera timed run—or an independent source documents one—the Gemera is a possible challenger, not a demonstrated threat to the 25.21-second benchmark. The specifications make the question worth asking; they do not answer it.
