The report said Chery Master Pakistan was evaluating two to three possible models. Since then, the company has introduced the electric Chery Q and its Tiggo plug-in hybrids have expanded their local presence, but those developments do not confirm launches for the three earlier candidates.
What Chery was considering for Pakistan
Business Recorder reported on May 7, 2026, that Chery Master Pakistan was evaluating possible additions to its local range. The report named three vehicles, but did not give confirmed launch dates or local prices for them. Business Recorder’s report quoted CEO Samir Malik saying the company was evaluating products for local driving conditions, consumer expectations and longer-term mobility trends. That describes an evaluation, not a launch commitment.
Tiggo 4 HEV
The Tiggo 4 HEV was one of the prospective models named. The report did not establish a Pakistan launch date, price or local specification sheet.
QQ BEV
Chery had shown a compact QQ battery-electric vehicle at Auto China 2026 with a claimed range of up to 410 km. That figure relates to the showcased model; it does not establish a Pakistan-market specification or confirm that the QQ BEV will be sold here.

What has arrived since the three-model report
The later developments are real, but they should not be mistaken for confirmation of the Tiggo 4 HEV, QQ BEV or Tiggo V. Chery Q, an all-electric model, was launched in Pakistan at the Pakistan Auto Show in September 2026. Its reported limited introductory price was Rs5,554,000, and the offer included a complimentary 7 kW home charger. Chery’s product page lists a 42.7 kWh battery and up to 400 km of range on the NEDC test cycle; those are manufacturer specifications, not independent road-test results. See the Chery Q product page and launch-price report. Check with the company for current prices and offer terms.

Separately, a July 2026 report based on company material said the Tiggo 7 PHEV had joined the Tiggo 8 PHEV and Tiggo 9 PHEV on Pakistani roads. The report described the vehicles as locally assembled; this is an attributed company claim, rather than independent verification. ProPakistani’s lineup report covers the update.
Two reported prices—and what they do and do not tell buyers
Published offer prices give a reference point for the current electric and plug-in-hybrid activity, but neither should be treated as a guaranteed current quote. The Chery Q’s Rs5,554,000 figure was described as a limited introductory price. A company advertorial for the Tiggo 7 PHEV reported a limited introductory ex-factory price of Rs9,499,000 and a booking amount of Rs1,500,000. Those Tiggo 7 terms were promotional and time-sensitive. Chery’s Tiggo 7 PHEV information gives the company’s product claims; confirm the latest price, taxes, delivery terms and offer conditions with an authorized seller.

These figures alone cannot show what proportion of Pakistani households can afford either vehicle. They also do not establish comparable ownership costs: the cited sources do not set out matched warranty coverage, charging compatibility, financing repayments or running costs.
What the affordability evidence says
Pakistan’s Competition Commission said its March 2026 automobile-industry study identified affordability constraints in the passenger-car market. It recommended improving access to vehicle financing, including reviewing restrictive financing limits and considering targeted subsidized schemes for first-time buyers. That is a regulator’s market assessment and policy recommendation, not a verdict that a particular Chery model is unaffordable to every buyer. Read the Competition Commission’s March 2, 2026 release.

At the same time, the Ministry of Finance reported Rs68.7 billion in auto-loan flows during July–March FY2026, up 24.9% from Rs26.9 billion in July–March FY2025, in the Pakistan Economic Survey 2025–26. This measures financing flows, not the number of borrowers or whether vehicle payments are affordable for households. Rising credit activity and affordability constraints can therefore coexist.
Associated Press of Pakistan reported company-shared figures saying Pakistan’s new-energy-vehicle segment grew 392% in FY2025–26 and accounted for around 15% of the overall automobile market. Those figures were attributed to Chery Master Pakistan, not independently verified; they indicate the company’s account of the segment, rather than a guarantee of demand for any specific model. APP’s report gives the attribution.

How to assess a Chery offer before booking
For a vehicle that is actually on sale, compare the details that determine fit and total commitment rather than relying on a headline price alone:
- Powertrain and use: distinguish a hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV), then consider your typical trips and access to charging.
- Final transaction price: ask whether the quote is ex-factory, what taxes and delivery charges apply, and when any introductory offer expires.
- Charging: verify connector compatibility, home electrical installation requirements and whether the charger is included in the current written offer.
- Practical fit: compare seating, cargo needs and everyday use for your household rather than assuming a concept description guarantees production specifications.
- After-sales and financing: confirm warranty and service coverage, financing eligibility, fees and total repayment in writing.
For Tiggo 4 HEV, QQ BEV and Tiggo V, the May report is not enough to make a booking decision: it does not provide a confirmed local price, launch date or finalized Pakistani specification.
