1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsThe clearest current new-car example in the available pricing and acceleration figures is the 2026 Toyota C-HR: Toyota lists it from $37,000 and estimates 0–60 mph in 4.9 seconds. The 2025 Nissan ARIYA is another candidate, starting at $39,770, but Nissan’s 4.8-second claim applies only to select trims. These are advertised starting prices, not out-the-door quotes, and the examples do not establish a definitive cheapest-car ranking across every trim or local market.

| Vehicle | Published starting price | Published 0–60 mph figure | What qualifies |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 Toyota C-HR | $37,000 starting MSRP, excluding dealer processing and handling charges | 4.9 seconds, manufacturer estimate | Toyota lists standard AWD and 338 combined system horsepower. The cited figures do not establish a complete market ranking. Toyota 2026 C-HR trims and pricing |

How to read the price and acceleration figures
Starting MSRP is not the price you will pay
A starting MSRP is a vehicle’s advertised entry price, not a local out-the-door quote. Taxes, dealer charges, optional equipment, regional incentives and inventory can change the amount a buyer pays. Toyota’s $37,000 figure excludes dealer processing and handling charges.
Make sure the trim meets the five-second cutoff
Acceleration claims may apply to a particular configuration rather than every trim. Nissan explicitly says its ARIYA reaches 60 mph in as little as 4.8 seconds on select trims and that range and performance vary by trim. Check the exact version being offered before treating its starting price as the price of a qualifying car.
Manufacturer estimates and independent tests are different evidence
Toyota and Nissan publish manufacturer acceleration figures; they should not be presented as independently measured results or as directly comparable tests conducted under identical conditions. Tom’s Guide reported 4.9 seconds to 60 mph for its 2026 C-HR XSE review. That test vehicle had a $39,000 MSRP and a $43,429 as-tested price, so its configuration and price are distinct from the C-HR’s $37,000 starting MSRP. Tom’s Guide’s 2026 Toyota C-HR review

How quick is under five seconds?
For context, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s 2026 Automotive Trends Report gives an average 0-to-60 time of 7.5 seconds for new vehicles in model year 2024. That is a model-year 2024 average published in a 2026 report, not a comparison of only the cars listed here. EPA Automotive Trends Report

The C-HR is the lowest-priced example in these cited current figures, but the available data do not prove it is the absolute cheapest qualifying vehicle. This is a short comparison of cited new-car examples, not an exhaustive ranking of new and used cars. Model year, trim, local inventory, incentives and dealer charges all affect what qualifies and what a buyer pays. The figures also do not provide a consistent basis for ranking ownership costs or electric range across both vehicles.
