New Atlas reported that Thailand would get a planned batch of 2,000 cars at a launch price of US$13,750, but neither a final sales total nor current availability has been established.
What was shown in Bangkok?
New Atlas reporter Mike Hanlon reported seeing the character-branded Lumin at the Bangkok International Motor Show, held the week before the outlet’s April 10, 2024 story. The public show appearance is what “breaks cover” refers to; it was not a new reveal in 2026.
New Atlas described the standard Changan Lumin as a four-seat electric city car with a 36-kW (48-hp) motor. Its report did not provide a full specification sheet for the Thai Hello Kitty edition or establish that the special version had different mechanical equipment. The documented distinction is the Hello Kitty branding.
How much was the Hello Kitty Lumin, and how many were planned?
New Atlas reported a Thai launch price of US$13,750 and a plan to offer 2,000 Hello Kitty-branded units. These are launch-time claims from 2024, not a current offer or a confirmed final production figure.

Why Lumin specifications vary by market
Figures published for other Lumin versions do not fill in the missing Thai-edition specifications. Changan’s market pages and other reports describe different trims, regions, and model contexts:
