CFMOTO has taken its 997cc V4 project from an announced engine development in 2024 to a V4 SR-RR prototype and, in June 2026, a manufacturer-reported 315.82 km/h test. That is a significant development, but it does not yet make the SR-RR a production superbike: CFMOTO still describes it as a pre-production engineering vehicle, and has not announced a retail date, price, or sales markets.
How powerful is CFMOTO’s V4 superbike?
The available figures have changed as the project advanced, and they describe three different stages—not one final, independently verified production specification.

| Announcement | What CFMOTO reported | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| November 2024: V.04 engine development | 997cc, 90-degree V4; projected output above 156kW through 14,500rpm; expected maximum torque of 114Nm. | Development projections from the original engine announcement, not independent dynamometer results. CFMOTO’s 2024 announcement |
| November 2025: V4 SR-RR prototype | 997cc, 90-degree V4; crankshaft power above 157kW (over 210hp); curb weight below 200kg. | Manufacturer figures for a prototype, not a verified consumer-bike test. CFMOTO’s 2025 prototype announcement |
| June 2026: pre-production engineering vehicle | 997cc, water-cooled, 90-degree V4; maximum engine speed of 15,000rpm; maximum power of 157kW (over 210hp); approximate dry weight of 180kg. | Specifications CFMOTO reported for the engineering vehicle used in its speed test. Dry weight is not directly comparable with the 2025 curb-weight figure. CFMOTO’s June 2026 report |
The 2026 report gives maximum power as 157kW, while the 2025 prototype announcement said crankshaft output was above 157kW. Those are figures from different announcements and stages; they should not be combined into a single final specification. Neither announcement supplies an independently measured wheel-power result.
What happened in the 315.82 km/h test?
CFMOTO says the V4 SR-RR reached 315.82 km/h on June 15, 2026, at the Zhongche Automotive Proving Ground in Shangrao, Jiangxi, China. The company describes the vehicle as a pre-production engineering sample, rather than a special-built or race-prepared variant.
#1 Best Overall
- Package Included: 1 x License Plate Holder (screws and light included in the package). Size: As shown in the image. Color: Black.
- Compatibility: Only compatible with CFMOTO 450SR (2023-2024 models). Please verify your vehicle model before buying to ensure a perfect fit!
- Material: Made of strong stainless steel and black powder coating, ensuring long-lasting use. It has a hard surface finish to prevent chipping and a smooth, polished look to use for many years.
- Easy to Install: Designed for custom use, not original parts. This holder is a simple solution for mounting your license plate. Comes with screws for easy installation and fix the holder securely in place.
- Function: Improves the appearance of your motorcycle and doubles as a fender to protect it from mud and dirt. Comes with bright LED lights with high brightness and low energy use to provide better visibility and safety for night rides.
According to CFMOTO, the National Motorcycle Quality Inspection and Testing Center (Chongqing) and Hangzhou Notary Office were present to oversee and record the attempt. The result is therefore a manufacturer-reported test figure with the stated oversight; the underlying measurement records have not been independently reviewed here. It is not an independent comparative test against production superbikes.

In its 2026 report, CFMOTO says the V4 SR-RR has a counter-rotating crankshaft and an active adaptive wing system. The company attributes several performance effects to those features:
- The counter-rotating crankshaft is said to reduce wheelie tendency and improve cornering agility.
- The active aero system is claimed to reduce drag by 12% during acceleration.
- CFMOTO says the system increases front-wheel downforce by 45% at high speed.
These percentages and benefits are company claims; the report does not provide independent validation or a test methodology for them. They should not be treated as independently established performance results.
Is the CFMOTO V4 SR-RR coming to production?
CFMOTO has called the motorcycle a prototype and later a pre-production engineering vehicle. The official announcements cited here do not give a production launch date, price, or sales-market plan. “Pre-production” describes the engineering vehicle in the speed-test report; by itself, it does not establish that customer deliveries are scheduled.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

The progression from engine projections to a running prototype and a reported high-speed test shows that CFMOTO has advanced the V4 SR-RR program. But the 2024 torque projection, 2025 curb-weight and crankshaft-power claims, and 2026 dry-weight, engine-speed, and speed-test figures belong to distinct stages and contexts.
Without a retail specification, independent test data, and a matched comparison with production rivals, the available figures cannot establish that the SR-RR is class-leading. The 315.82 km/h figure is evidence of what CFMOTO reports its engineering vehicle achieved under the stated test conditions—not a verified production-bike top speed.
