The CFMoto 450CL-C and Kawasaki Eliminator sit in the same small-cruiser class, but the cited specifications point to different priorities: CFMoto uses belt final drive and lists traction control on its German page, while Kawasaki’s 2025 U.S. sheet lists 51 hp and a 28.9-inch seat. Those figures come from different model years and markets, so they are not a same-condition performance or value test. Compare the exact versions sold where you live, get like-for-like dealer quotes, and sit on both before choosing.
What model years and markets are these figures from?
This comparison uses the CFMoto 450CL-C information published for Germany and Australia, alongside Kawasaki’s 2025 U.S. Eliminator specification sheet. The separate Kawasaki 2026 U.S. product page is useful for current advertised features, but it does not confirm that the 2025 specifications carry over unchanged.

How do the engines and published outputs compare?
CFMoto’s Germany page lists a 449 cm³ parallel twin producing 32 kW / 44 PS at 9,000 rpm and 42.2 Nm at 6,250 rpm. It also specifies a 6-speed gearbox. The Australia MY2026 announcement describes a 449cc parallel twin with a 270-degree crank and double balance shaft.
Kawasaki’s 2025 U.S. sheet lists a 451cc liquid-cooled DOHC twin, 51 hp at 10,000 rpm and 31.7 lb-ft at 7,500 rpm, also with a 6-speed transmission. These are manufacturer specifications expressed in different power units and attached to different markets and model years. They do not establish which bike is quicker or stronger in a direct, real-world comparison.

What differs in final drive and rider aids?
Final drive: belt versus sealed chain
CFMoto lists Gates belt drive; Kawasaki’s 2025 U.S. sheet specifies a sealed chain. That is a meaningful ownership preference to consider: the drive systems differ in how riders typically approach routine care, but the cited pages do not provide service intervals or lifetime running-cost figures. Ask the dealer about the maintenance schedule for the exact version you are considering.
Rider aids: check the exact market and trim
CFMoto’s Germany specification lists ABS and traction control. Kawasaki’s 2025 U.S. sheet identifies ABS, but does not list traction control in its special-feature text. This does not establish equipment across every country or trim; verify the actual model-year specification before purchase.

Are the seat heights and weights close?
The cited seat figures are both low: CFMoto lists 690 mm for the Germany-market 450CL-C, while Kawasaki lists 28.9 inches for the 2025 U.S. Eliminator. The units and source contexts differ, and neither number tells you how the bikes will fit your body. Sit on both, check reach to the bars and controls, and account for suspension sag and the footwear you ride in.
Mass figures should not be treated as a direct weight verdict. CFMoto Germany lists 183 kg ready to ride. Kawasaki’s 2025 U.S. sheet lists curb weight of 388.1 lb for ABS and 385.9 lb for non-ABS. The stated configurations and measurement conventions differ, so these figures do not establish which bike is lighter under a like-for-like comparison.

What equipment and updates are listed?
CFMoto Germany lists a 3.6-inch round TFT display and USB-A and USB-C ports, with T-BOX optional. The Australian MY2026 announcement adds market-specific changes: Nebula White and Galaxy Grey colors, a wider and thicker seat cushion, a heel-toe shifter, and revised rear-fender side panels. It also describes app connection. These details are tied to the Australian announcement and should not be assumed for every market.

The Kawasaki U.S. pages cited here direct buyers to build/price or request a quote rather than establishing a comparable specific price. Ask local dealers for written quotes covering the same items—bike, freight or delivery, taxes, registration and any mandatory fees—then compare the resulting totals in your own market.
Which one makes more sense for you?
On the evidence cited here, the clearest reasons to investigate the CFMoto are its belt drive and, on the German specification, listed traction control. The Kawasaki’s 2025 U.S. sheet gives it a higher stated peak horsepower figure, while its listed seat height is low. None of those points is an overall verdict: there is no verified same-day, same-market, same-model-year comparison in these sources to settle performance, comfort or value.
- Prioritize sitting on both bikes and checking control reach if rider fit is your main concern.
- Confirm the drivetrain, rider aids, connectivity and included equipment on the exact local trim.
- Compare dealer quotes on the same out-the-door basis, not across unrelated currencies or countries.
- Use model-year-specific specification sheets rather than assuming a current product page repeats earlier figures.
What warranty terms are stated for the CFMoto?
CFMoto Australia describes a 3-year factory warranty program for its MY2026 announcement. It says a further one-year extension may apply subject to authorized servicing and service-history conditions, so it is not an unconditional four-year warranty. The German page lists a 5-year / 40,000 km warranty for new vehicles bought from 2026-04-01, excluding commercial use. These are separate market programs; confirm the terms applying to your purchase.
