February 2026 was reported as its international release month, but availability dates and pricing vary by market; check Casio or an authorized retailer in your region for current stock and price.
What the ECB-2300HR-1A commemorates
The watch marks Honda’s first Formula 1 win, achieved by the RA272 at the Mexican Grand Prix on October 24, 1965. The 60th anniversary fell in 2025. Casio describes the RA272 as developed by Honda, with its engine and chassis built in-house, and frames the watch as a tribute to the car and that victory.
Casio also credits Honda’s subsequent F1 history with six Constructors’ titles and four world champions. Those are figures published by Casio, rather than independently verified totals presented here.
Design details that refer to the RA272
- Championship White bezel: Casio says the finish matches the RA272.
- Red dial ring and gold-toned “60”: The ring evokes the Hinomaru motif, while the gold-toned marking denotes the anniversary.
- Countdown-timer subdial: The inset at 9 o’clock takes its design cue from the RA272’s tachometer and functions as a countdown timer.
- Engine blueprint strap: The strap carries a blueprint of Honda’s 1.5-liter V12 engine. Casio specifies Nappa leather for the outer strap and Ultrasuede for its lining.
- Victory message and number: The band loop carries “Veni, Vidi, Vici” and car number 11. Casio says the Latin phrase was the victory message sent from the venue to headquarters by team leader Yoshio Nakamura; it should not be treated as a verbatim English quote from him.
- Commemorative finish: The case back bears an anniversary logo designed by Honda, and the watch is supplied in special packaging.
Functions and manufacturer-stated specifications
Casio lists Tough Solar charging and Bluetooth smartphone linking, including automatic time correction and app configuration. Other listed functions include a phone finder, stopwatch functions, countdown timer and LED illumination. The stated hardware specifications include sapphire crystal and 100-meter water resistance. These are manufacturer specifications; they are not independent test results.
