Carvon estimated a top speed of 35 mph, a range of up to 20 miles and the ability to climb a 25-percent grade. Those were company estimates reported by New Atlas, not independently verified test results. The Revo was a Kickstarter-era launch, not a current buying recommendation.
What was the Carvon Revo 4WD?
The Revo 4WD was the four-wheel-drive board in Carvon’s 2017 lineup, alongside the two-wheel-drive Evo and the standalone V3 drive. New Atlas reported that the Revo used a 39.5-inch arched drop-down deck with carbon-fiber layers around the electronics. Its removable wheel options were 97-mm urethane wheels for street riding and 7-inch pneumatic tires aimed at off-road use. Carvon’s estimated weight was about 22 lb (10 kg).
The lineup and launch details were reported by New Atlas on March 3, 2017.
How was its four-wheel drive arranged?
Carvon paired its dual-motor V3 drive at the front with a single-motor X drive at the rear. The V3 placed two motors beside the wheels on one truck rather than inside the hubs. The X used one motor and dual belts to drive two wheels; gearing and one-way bearings were described as allowing the outside wheel to turn faster than the inside wheel during a carve.

According to New Atlas’s launch explanation, the rear X drive was intended to provide smooth initial acceleration and help with hills, while the faster V3 arrangement would take over at higher speeds. The report said the rear wheels could spin faster than the X motor. This is the launch article’s description of the design, not a verified technical test.
What performance did Carvon claim?
Carvon’s reported estimates for the Revo 4WD were 35 mph (56 km/h) top speed, up to 20 miles (32 km) per charge, a 25-percent grade capability and 3,000 watts of total output. New Atlas reported these figures in 2017. The available coverage does not establish that the board achieved them in independent testing, and the range figure is not tied to a stated rider, terrain, speed or test protocol.

New Atlas also reported an estimated Revo retail price of $1,999 at launch. That was a projected 2017 price, not a current offer. The Kickstarter campaign ran March 1–31, 2017; its listing records $72,666 raised toward a $49,000 goal from 69 backers and was last updated March 7, 2018. How did the Revo compare with the Carvon Evo?
New Atlas’s March 2017 launch coverage presented the Evo as the less powerful, two-wheel-drive sibling using the same deck and V3 dual-motor drive. The figures below are launch-era descriptions and estimates, not independent test results.

Its article also described lower, limited Kickstarter reward tiers: $1,499 for the Revo and $999 for the Evo, with higher rewards listed at $1,599 and $1,099 respectively. The available historical coverage does not verify current Carvon inventory, customer support or compatible replacement parts, so it cannot establish whether a Revo or parts can be obtained today. ElectricBoarder reported on May 6, 2018 that the later Carvon EXO 4WD was sold out, but that statement concerns the EXO at that time—not every Carvon model or its current status. That comparison listed EXO figures of 80 km/h (50 mph), 40 km (25 mi.) range, a 25-percent incline and 10.5 kg (23 lb); they are for the later EXO, not the Revo. What to keep in mind about the launch claims
- Performance numbers were Carvon estimates reported in 2017; the available sources do not provide independent Revo test results.
- Planned shipment timing and campaign rewards were launch-era projections and offers, not evidence of later delivery or current sales.
- A 35-mph claim is a high-speed figure, not a safety endorsement. Wear a helmet and use protective equipment appropriate to the riding conditions; the cited coverage does not establish jurisdiction-specific legal requirements or a particular certification.
