The 2110 was aimed at small-field and bedded-crop operations; the 2150 changes centered on liquid-fertilizer capacity and tank features. The announcement’s reported order timing—spring 2024—is historical, not a statement of current availability.
What Case IH announced in 2023
Case IH described the announcement as additions and changes to its Early Riser planter range. Its two subjects were the new 2110 and the updated 2150; later 2160 configurations are separate, subsequent model-year additions.
In the company’s February 15, 2023 announcement, Case IH planter marketing manager David Brennan said: “From soybean and corn operations to producers who cultivate bedded crops like peanuts and cotton, our latest additions to the Early Riser roster are designed to help growers combat recurring planting season challenges in new ways.” This is the manufacturer’s description of its design aims, not an independently measured performance finding.
What’s new on the Early Riser 2110?
The 2110 is a rigid-mounted planter positioned for smaller fields and bedded crops. Successful Farming’s February 27, 2023 report lists six- and eight-row configurations, four row spacings, and two on-row hopper sizes.

| 2110 specification | Reported options or details |
|---|---|
| Row configurations | Six or eight rows |
| Row spacing | 30, 36, 38, or 40 inches |
| On-row hopper capacity | 1.9 or 3 bushels |
| Main frame tube | 7 by 7 inches |
| Air tank | 5 gallons |
The report says the 2110’s reduced weight and hydraulic demand were intended to make it compatible with smaller-horsepower tractors. It also describes automated vacuum control and in-cab adjustment of pneumatic or hydraulic down pressure, residue managers, and closing-system pressure. Other reported design details include a steel electronics enclosure and a simplified toolbar design with weight brackets. These are reported specifications and design claims, not proof of a particular field-performance result.
What changed on the Early Riser 2150?
The principal reported change was greater liquid-fertilizer capacity on the 12-, 16-, and 24-row 2150 models: Successful Farming reported an increase from 400 to 540 gallons. Case IH also introduced split bulk-fill tank scales.

- Filling: The trade report describes a larger tank fill opening.
- Visibility: The tanks sit low, a design intended to improve rearward visibility.
- Monitoring: Tank levels can be monitored through the Cab Control app on an in-cab display.
The 540-gallon figure applies to the specified 2150 configurations in the 2023 report; it should not be generalized to every 2150 setup.
How the 2110 and 2150 changes differ
| Model | What the 2023 update emphasized | Reported details |
|---|---|---|
| Early Riser 2110 | New rigid-mounted planter for smaller fields and bedded crops | Six or eight rows; 30-, 36-, 38-, or 40-inch spacing; 1.9- or 3-bushel on-row hoppers |
| Early Riser 2150 | Updated fertilizer and tank features | 400-to-540-gallon liquid-fertilizer capacity change on 12-, 16-, and 24-row models; split bulk-fill scales and reported tank design and monitoring changes |
The announcements do not establish a comparative field-performance advantage between the two models. For a particular operation, the practical comparison depends on row count and spacing, hopper capacity, tractor horsepower and hydraulic capability, fertilizer capacity, filling workflow, visibility, and the controls needed in the cab.

Availability and later Early Riser additions
Successful Farming reported on February 27, 2023, that the 2110 and updated 2150 were available to order for the spring 2024 planting season. That is a historical schedule. For present availability, configurations, and pricing, contact a Case IH dealer rather than relying on the 2023 timing.
Case IH’s current 2000 Series Early Riser product page identifies later 2160 additions: two 48-row configurations with 20- and 22-inch spacing for Model Year 2025, and a 24-row configuration with 22-inch spacing for Model Year 2026. Those later configurations are not part of the February 2023 2110/2150 announcement.

The reported specifications help identify which questions to take to a dealer, but they do not provide current prices, dealer inventory, or independently verified field comparisons. Before selecting a configuration, confirm that the exact planter, row spacing, hopper or fertilizer setup, and tractor requirements match the operation. Successful Farming’s February 27, 2023 report provides the detailed announcement figures; current model-year information is on Case IH’s product page.
