In the United States, possibly—but only as leftover new 2024 inventory. Mitsubishi says it ended Mirage production and planned no 2025 model, though some dealers may still have a new Mirage hatchback or Mirage G4 sedan in stock. Availability varies by location, so a current local dealer check is essential. This is a U.S.-specific answer: model availability differs by country.
Can you still buy a new Mitsubishi Mirage in the U.S. in 2026?
Mitsubishi’s U.S. pages identify 2024 as the Mirage and Mirage G4’s final model year and say no 2025 models were planned. The company says some dealers may still have new 2024 vehicles, but it does not guarantee that any particular dealer has one. Check Mitsubishi’s Mirage FAQ and Mirage G4 FAQ, then contact local dealers to confirm live inventory.
That means a car advertised as a new Mirage in 2026 would be a leftover 2024 model, not a 2026-model-year vehicle. Mitsubishi’s statements establish that remaining new stock is possible; they do not establish that a specific car is available, unregistered, or offered at a particular price.
Check the specific car before you make the trip
Ask the dealer to confirm the details in writing before visiting. Compare listings on more than the model name: a hatchback and a G4 sedan are different body styles, and trim and transmission can also affect whether a listing matches what you want.

- Model year and body style: Verify that it is a 2024 Mirage hatchback or Mirage G4 sedan, and confirm the trim and transmission.
- New-car status: Ask whether the vehicle is genuinely new and unregistered. Request its mileage and in-service date; these details matter when assessing its condition and warranty status.
- Price: Get a written buyer’s order with the final out-the-door price, including taxes, fees, and any dealer-installed items or add-ons.
- Warranty: Ask the dealer to explain the applicable coverage and when it began, using the vehicle’s in-service date and Mitsubishi’s original warranty terms.
- Availability: Confirm that the car is physically available and can be sold, rather than relying on an old listing or an unverified inventory result.
Mitsubishi reports combined fuel economy of 39 MPG for the Mirage hatchback and 37 MPG estimated for the G4 on its U.S. model pages: Mirage and Mirage G4. Those are manufacturer-reported figures; they should not be read as a guarantee of real-world fuel economy.
Is the Mirage discontinued everywhere?
No. Mitsubishi’s U.S. discontinuation statement should not be generalized to every market. For example, Mitsubishi Motors Mexico lists a 2026 Mirage G4 on its Mexico model page. Availability and model years depend on country, so buyers outside the United States should check their local Mitsubishi site or dealers rather than assume U.S. inventory rules apply.
