On paper, the Talaria Komodo MX has numbers that make it a credible high-performance electric dirt bike: Talaria claims 32 kW peak power, 754 N·m of peak torque at the rear wheel, and 0–50 km/h in 1.8 seconds. But those specifications do not prove it beats or matches a 450cc gas enduro. Talaria’s product pages do not name a 450cc rival or provide a comparable head-to-head test, so the honest answer is that the Komodo looks capable, but the winner is unproven.
What Talaria claims for the Komodo MX
Talaria describes the Komodo MX as an electric dirt bike. Its product page lists a 97.2 V, 45 Ah lithium-ion battery and these headline performance figures. Talaria does not show a publication year for the page, and these are manufacturer claims rather than independently verified test results.
| Komodo MX specification | Talaria’s stated figure | What the figure means |
|---|---|---|
| Peak power | 32 kW | Manufacturer-stated peak output; the page does not establish sustained power. |
| Peak torque | 754 N·m at the rear wheel | A rear-wheel figure, not a generic engine or crankshaft torque measurement. |
| Acceleration | 0–50 km/h in 1.8 seconds | Talaria’s claim; the page does not provide an independent test protocol. |
| Top speed | At least 105 km/h | Manufacturer-stated minimum, without an independent test protocol on the page. |
| Range | 115 km at 45 km/h | A stated figure tied to a specific speed, not a general estimate for trail riding. |
| Fast charging | 10% to 80% in one hour | Talaria’s stated charge interval; the page does not provide a separate real-world charging test. |

Why those numbers do not settle a 450cc comparison
“450cc” identifies engine displacement, not a specific motorcycle or a complete performance profile. A defensible comparison needs a named 450cc model and year, the Komodo variant, and comparable riders, surfaces, setups, and test procedures. It also needs to define what “challenge” means: a short acceleration run, technical low-speed riding, top speed, range, or a full day of enduro use.

The torque figures especially need care. Talaria labels the Komodo’s 754 N·m as peak torque at the rear wheel. Comparing it directly with a gas bike’s crankshaft torque would mix measurements taken at different points in different drivetrains. Likewise, a peak-power number alone cannot establish lap-time, hill-climb, or endurance superiority.
- Acceleration: Compare the same speed interval with a stated test method and conditions.
- Power and torque: Distinguish peak from sustained output, and compare torque at the same measurement location.
- Technical control: Assess how each bike behaves at low speed on the same terrain rather than inferring trail performance from peak figures.
- Range and turnaround: Compare operating time or distance on the same course, then account for charging versus refuelling time.
- Mass and setup: State each bike’s weight and whether the gas bike is measured with fuel, and the electric bike with its battery.
- Test context: Identify the rider, surface, course, and protocol before declaring a winner.
No head-to-head result on these measures is established by Talaria’s Komodo product pages.

Range figures depend on which Komodo page you read
Talaria’s MX page states 115 km at 45 km/h. Talaria Europe lists 114 km for the Komodo and cautions: “RANGE IS DEPENDANT ON VARYING RIDING CONDITIONS AND HABITS SUCH AS SPEED/WEIGHT/BREAKING”. The pages do not explain the one-kilometre difference, so treat these as separate, source-specific claims rather than combining them into a single tested range. Neither figure establishes how far the bike will go on a demanding enduro course.

Do not mix the Komodo MX with the Komodo L3e
Talaria’s Brazilian Komodo L3e page describes a distinct urban version. It lists 8.6 kW nominal power and 32 kW peak power, 754 N·m of torque, a 105 km/h maximum speed, 98 kg total weight, up to 115 km of range, and a 3.5-hour charging time. Those L3e details should not be presented as specifications for the Komodo MX: the variants and their stated use differ.

Verdict: promising specifications, no proven 450cc win
The Komodo MX’s stated power, acceleration, and rear-wheel torque make it a credible electric contender on paper. Whether it can beat a particular 450cc gas enduro depends on the model, task, and test conditions. Without a named rival and a credible like-for-like comparison, the specifications support interest—not a claim of victory.
