The original announcement named Canyon, Canyon XT and Canyon Redrock trims, with dealer availability planned for spring 2025. Today, Can-Am’s U.S. listings show 2026 models starting at $25,999, while BRP’s later 2027 announcement adds a Sandstone color option for Redrock and navigation support for compatible displays.
What Can-Am announced in 2024
BRP introduced the Canyon as a three-wheel vehicle aimed at adventure riding beyond paved roads. Its August 19, 2024 announcement said the Canyon, Canyon XT and Canyon Redrock would join the 2025 lineup and reach Can-Am dealers in spring 2025. The release also announced 25 dedicated accessories for the Canyon line; that was the launch-era figure, not a verified count of the current catalog. BRP’s 2025 Canyon announcement
The launch release described a 1330 cc liquid-cooled Rotax ACE engine rated at 115 horsepower, paired with a six-speed semi-automatic transmission with reverse. BRP also listed ABS, Brembo brakes, XPS Adventure tires, a quick-adjust windshield, LED lighting, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, and four ride modes: Sport, All-Road, Rally and Normal.
Adventure equipment and launch claims
BRP positioned the Canyon for rougher routes with higher ground clearance, longer suspension travel, all-road wheels, enduro pegs and protective features. The announcement said the vehicle had 20 LinQ attachment points and could carry and/or tow up to 400 pounds of cargo. These are claims in the manufacturer’s launch announcement, not independently measured off-road or load-test results.

BRP described Redrock as having KYB Smart-Shox semi-active suspension and a backup camera. The company’s Director of Global Brand Strategy, Can-Am On-Road, Ski-Doo & Lynx, Elsa Vilarinho, said: “The brand-new 2025 Can-Am Canyon is designed for the adventurous spirit and tailored for those who seek the road less traveled,”

Can-Am’s U.S. 2026 model listings give the following starting MSRPs. The company says these are entry-package prices and that transportation and preparation fees may vary with selection; they are not guaranteed dealer transaction prices or the original 2025 launch prices. Base Canyon figures
The 2026 base Canyon listing specifies a 1330 cc Rotax 1330 ACE inline-three producing 115 hp at 7,250 rpm and 96 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm. It lists a six-speed semi-automatic transmission with reverse, front suspension travel of 10.2 inches, rear travel of 9.2 inches, and 160 mm (6.3 inches) of ground clearance. Other listed figures include two-person capacity, a maximum vehicle load of 298 kg (656 lb), and a 27 L (7.1 gal) fuel capacity. Those are published specifications for the listed base model, not independent test measurements.

How XT and Redrock differ
XT’s listed equipment is aimed at carrying a passenger and luggage: a passenger backrest, heated grips, removable aluminum top and side cases, and self-leveling rear suspension. Redrock is the premium package, adding Smart-Shox and premium aluminum cases; Can-Am’s package information also identifies backup-camera equipment.
The 2026 Redrock specification sheet gives more model-specific detail: KYB Piggyback Smart-Shox at the front, KYB Smart-Shox with self-leveling air preload at the rear, 120.6 L (31.86 gal) of storage, 470 kg (1,036 lb) curb weight, an 843 mm (33.2 in.) seat height, and 169 mm (6.65 in.) ground clearance. Why the 2025 and 2026 LinQ figures differ
BRP’s 2025 launch release said the Canyon had 20 LinQ attachment points; Can-Am’s current U.S. 2026 page lists 21 and describes tool-free accessory changes. Those figures refer to different model-year materials. The later figure should not be substituted into a description of what BRP announced in 2024.
What changed for the 2027 lineup
In an announcement dated August 17, 2026, BRP said the 2027 Canyon Redrock would be offered in Sandstone. The same announcement introduced BRP GO! On-Road Navigation for compatible vehicles equipped with a 10.25-inch display, available by software update. BRP describes route planning, turn-by-turn directions, points of interest, ride information and friend tracking through the app. The announcement does not establish support for every Canyon model year or display configuration, so owners should confirm compatibility before expecting the update. What the announcement does—and does not—establish
The Canyon’s published engine output, equipment and dimensions explain how BRP configured and marketed the vehicle, but they do not establish real-world off-road capability, handling, reliability or comfort. The official sources cited here also do not provide Canyon sales totals, owner demographics or independent comparative test results. Consider the Canyon a distinct three-wheel vehicle rather than assuming its riding experience is directly interchangeable with that of a two-wheel motorcycle.
