It adds revised suspension and alignment hardware, updated chassis-control calibrations, carbon-ceramic brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. Cadillac says the changes target steering precision, corner-exit stability, road feel and grip; the cited sources do not establish a measured lap-time gain or a current package price.
What the Precision Package changes
Cadillac introduced the package for the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing. Its current U.S. product page lists the package for the 2026 model as well, though availability can vary by model year and configuration. The 2024 launch announcement and 2026 product page describe a connected set of chassis changes rather than an engine upgrade.
Suspension, alignment and steering hardware
Cadillac’s July 2024 announcement lists increased spring rates, a larger front stabilizer bar, revised suspension bushings, new front steering knuckles and rear toe links that enable more aggressive track alignment. The current 2026 page provides more detail: redesigned front knuckles allow more aggressive alignment, including camber; rear knuckles use higher-rate bushings for the upper and lower trailing links; and the rear toe links are billet aluminum. Cadillac also lists retuned front suspension top mounts and rear cradle bushings, revised front ride-link and rear lateral-link bushings, and revised damper travel.
These parts give the car hardware intended to support a more track-oriented setup. The exact alignment settings are not specified on the cited product page, so owners should work with a qualified alignment shop or Cadillac dealer for model- and use-appropriate settings.

Chassis and electronic-control tuning
The package includes recalibration of the MagneRide dampers—called Magnetic Ride Control on Cadillac’s current product page—along with steering, chassis controls and the electronic limited-slip differential. Cadillac says the combined changes are intended to sharpen steering near the corner apex, improve stability on corner exit and increase road feel. Those are manufacturer-stated aims, not independently established results.
Carbon-ceramic brakes
Cadillac describes the package’s carbon-ceramic brakes as engineered for heat resistance and consistent stopping performance. The company also says they reduce rotating unsprung mass at all four corners. The product page offers blue, red or bronze calipers with V-Series Carbon Ceramic logos, plus matching painted key fobs. Cadillac does not publish a braking-distance improvement for the package in the cited material.

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires
The specified tire is the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R. Cadillac says its tread pattern and compound provide more grip than the high-performance summer-only tire. The product page names the tire model but does not state tire dimensions. Before buying replacements, verify the model year, wheel specification and fitment for the individual car rather than relying on the tire name alone.
Does it add horsepower?
No engine-output increase is identified as part of the Precision Package in Cadillac’s package description. For context, GM News lists the standard 2026 CT5-V Blackwing at 668 horsepower and 658 lb-ft of torque, with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8, a six-speed manual and an available 10-speed automatic. Cadillac’s 2024 announcement for the 2025 car gave the same horsepower figure but listed 659 lb-ft; the torque figures differ by source and model-year publication, so they should not be silently combined.

The 2026 CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series is a separate, limited edition, not a horsepower version created by the Precision Package. GM announced it with 685 horsepower and 673 lb-ft, a six-speed manual and the Precision Package, with 26 vehicles announced for the U.S. and Canada and production scheduled to begin in mid-2026. Those figures belong to that special edition, not the standard Blackwing. The cited announcement’s planned production date has passed; check current availability with Cadillac or a dealer.
What the package is intended to do—and what is not established
Cadillac presents the Precision Package as a way to make the Blackwing more capable and composed on track through its alignment hardware, suspension tuning, controls, brakes and tires. The manufacturer’s stated aims are greater steering precision near the apex, better stability on corner exit, improved road feel and additional tire grip.

The cited sources do not provide an independently measured package-versus-standard lap-time comparison, a quantified lap-time improvement, or an exact current package price. That means the available information supports describing the hardware and Cadillac’s intended effects, but not claiming a specific performance gain or declaring the package worth a particular amount. For a purchase decision, compare the car’s actual equipment and dealer quote, then consider how often you will use the car on track and whether you value the specified tires and brake system.

Verify the package on the specific vehicle’s build sheet or window sticker and confirm current pricing with Cadillac or the dealer before placing an order.
