BYD’s Denza N7 was jointly unveiled by Denza and French audio company Devialet on March 22, 2023, then presented at Auto Shanghai the following month. BYD highlighted an interactive cockpit, factory-installed Devialet audio and DiSus-A pneumatic body control. “Hunting” is an editorial label in the original headline, not a documented use case: the cited announcements describe a sporty luxury SUV and an all-electric shooting brake, not a purpose-built hunting or off-road vehicle.
What is the Denza N7?
The Denza N7 is an electric vehicle BYD presented as a sporty, intelligent luxury SUV. Devialet’s announcement also calls it an all-electric shooting brake and identifies its design language as π-Motion. These are the manufacturers’ descriptions; the cited announcements do not establish off-road capability or position the N7 as a hunting vehicle.
BYD’s April 2023 Auto Shanghai announcement described the N7 as a sporty, intelligent luxury SUV and said Denza displayed the vehicle and its interior design. BYD’s Auto Shanghai announcement also placed it among other Denza models at the event.
When was the Denza N7 unveiled?
The unveiling and the Auto Shanghai presentation were separate events. BYD’s March 23, 2023 announcement says Denza and Devialet held a cooperation kick-off event in Shenzhen on March 22 and jointly unveiled the N7. On April 21, BYD reported that Denza presented the N7 and its interior design at Auto Shanghai.

BYD’s current Denza brand page lists the N7 as launched in 2022, which conflicts with the dated 2023 announcements about its unveiling and presentation. The available announcements establish those 2023 event dates, but do not establish a retail launch date. BYD’s Denza brand page
What features did BYD highlight?
Interactive cockpit
BYD called the N7’s cabin a “super-sensing interactive intelligent cockpit.” The April announcement does not provide a complete interface, display or hardware specification, so the phrase is a positioning description rather than a detailed feature inventory.

Devialet factory audio
BYD said the N7 was the first mass-produced model with a Devialet car audio system. In its description, the system uses Speaker Active Matching (SAM) for low frequencies down to 20 Hz, Devialet SPACE to create an immersive stereo effect, and speed-dependent volume control (SDVC) to adjust loudness according to vehicle speed. DiSus-A body control
BYD’s April 2023 description lists DiSus System-A intelligent pneumatic body control as standard equipment. The announcement does not explain the system’s full operation or confirm that the same equipment applies to every later N7 version.

What the announcements do—and do not—establish
The March and April 2023 releases document the N7’s unveiling, event presentation and the features BYD chose to emphasize. They do not establish current pricing, model-year specifications, retail availability in a particular market, battery range, charging performance, independent test results or N7-specific accessory compatibility. Those details require current, market-specific information rather than assumptions based on the launch announcements.
