How should buyers interpret the range figures?
The 840 km combined and 100 km electric figures are stated on the NEDC test cycle. They should not be treated as guaranteed real-world distances: BYD itself notes that range varies with vehicle and operating factors. Driving conditions and vehicle use affect what a driver will achieve, so buyers should use the published figures as test-cycle specifications rather than promises of everyday range.
