Bugatti’s F.K.P. Hommage is a bespoke tribute to the Veyron, and its most unusual cabin detail is a 41 mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon installed in the dashboard at the future owner’s request. Rather than sitting on a wrist, the watch is mounted in an engine-turned dashboard island and housed in a gondola that Bugatti says rotates several times per hour, powered by the car without an electrical connection.
What is the Bugatti F.K.P. Hommage?
The F.K.P. Hommage is the second creation from Bugatti’s Programme Solitaire, its bespoke-car program. Bugatti presents it as a celebration of the Veyron and of Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Karl Piëch; “F.K.P.” refers to Piëch’s initials. The first Programme Solitaire creation was Brouillard. Bugatti says the program produces up to two bespoke masterpieces annually.
Bugatti Design Director Frank Heyl described the project as a collaboration with its client: “It was a tremendous honor to work directly with the client on this project, refining every detail through multiple iterations to create what I consider the ideal, definitive Veyron.” That client-specific process is important context for the dashboard watch: this is a bespoke installation, not a standard feature offered across Veyron-inspired cars.
What watch is inside the Hommage?
Bugatti identifies it as a 41 mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon, integrated into the dashboard at the future owner’s request. The watch is set into an engine-turned island at the center of the cabin. Bugatti’s descriptions establish the watch’s identity and installation, but do not say that this exact integrated timepiece is a separately available retail reference.

A conventional Royal Oak is a wristwatch; in the Hommage, this particular example is part of the car’s interior. Audemars Piguet’s collection history offers broader context, noting that more than 500 Royal Oak iterations have been created, but that figure does not identify the Hommage’s watch as a regular catalog model. How does the dashboard watch wind?
Bugatti says the watch sits in a gondola that rotates on a diagonal axis several times per hour. The car powers this motion, and the mechanism has no electrical connection. Bugatti does not claim that the system improves timekeeping accuracy, and its published description does not provide further technical detail about the winding mechanism.

How does the Hommage relate to the original Veyron?
The design looks back to the Veyron’s distinctive stance, including its leaning-back posture and dropping belt line, while the engineering reflects a later, more developed W16 package. Bugatti describes the car as using the highest evolution of its W16 platform: a 1,600 hp quad-turbocharged engine with larger turbochargers, enhanced intercoolers, upgraded cooling systems and a reinforced gearbox.
The exterior updates include a three-dimensional horseshoe grille machined from solid aluminum and a layered red finish over an aluminum-based coat. Inside, Bugatti lists a circular Bauhaus-inspired steering wheel, a bespoke solid-aluminum center console and tunnel cover, and custom Paris-woven fabric. Together, the details frame the car as a Veyron design tribute with updated engineering and a one-off, client-directed interior—not a reproduction of the original car.

When was the F.K.P. Hommage unveiled?
Bugatti announced the car digitally on January 22, 2026, and said it would be physically unveiled at the Ultimate Supercar Garage during Rétromobile Paris, running January 29 to February 1. In a follow-up dated January 30, Bugatti reported that the car had made its physical world premiere at the event. These are separate milestones: the digital announcement came first, followed by the in-person premiere.
Bugatti Automobiles President Christophe Piochon reflected on the Veyron’s legacy at the event: “Being part of the team that launched the Veyron 20 years ago was a defining moment in my career.”
