A Bugatti customer took his newly delivered, track-only Bolide to Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in what Bugatti calls the first customer track outing after delivery. In a January 7, 2025 account, the automaker says the car completed 12 hot laps in rainy conditions and reached a reported 333 km/h (207 mph). Bugatti did not publish a lap time, and the customer is identified only as “The Bolide owner.”
How the Bolide’s COTA session unfolded
Bugatti says the customer already knew COTA, a 5.513-kilometer circuit with 20 corners. The day before driving, he received a static handover and technical briefing. The outing itself began with two warm-up laps, followed by a return to the pits for final checks that included tire pressures and oil levels. The driver then completed 12 hot laps.
Rain made the session more challenging. Bugatti reports that the owner reached 333 km/h (207 mph) during the outing. That figure is the manufacturer’s account of the event, not an independently verified speed test; the release does not provide a lap time.
What the owner said about driving it
Bugatti quoted the customer without naming him. He described the experience this way:

Bugatti’s release also says the owner found the rain added excitement and thanked the Bugatti and Bugatti Beverly Hills teams. The automaker does not disclose his identity.

The Bolide is for the circuit, not public roads
Bugatti describes the Bolide as a track-only racing vehicle that is not intended for public roads. The COTA event was a customer experience on a closed circuit, not a road test or a public-road drive.
Bugatti has separately described its Bolide shakedown process as involving a dedicated team of eight specialists, braking tests up to 250 km/h, and staged performance validation. Those are manufacturer-described quality-control procedures; they were not reported as part of this customer’s COTA session.

How this differs from COTA’s public driving experience
COTA offers a separate, professionally supervised driving experience. Its published terms list a minimum driver age of 25, a valid driver’s license, and a $5,000 damage authorization hold, with a paid reduction option.
