A Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Black Bess is reported for sale through Amian Cars in Germany, but its asking price and live availability have not been confirmed. The October 2, 2026 report describes it as one of just three Black Bess examples. Its distinction is not horsepower alone: the edition pairs gold exterior details with individually hand-painted door artwork inspired by the Type 18 associated with aviator Roland Garros.
Is the Bugatti Black Bess for sale?
Luxurylaunches reported on October 2, 2026 that one of the three Black Bess Veyrons had appeared for sale through Amian Cars in Germany. The article identifies it as the only US-specification example among the three and reports 5,600 km, two owners, and initial registration in July 2014. These are details attributed to that report, not independently audited dealer documentation.
The asking price was not disclosed. The report does not provide a current dealer record, provenance file, service history, inspection results, or confirmation that the car remains available. Luxurylaunches’ October 2, 2026 report is the source for the sale details.
What makes the Black Bess different?
One of three Legends editions
Black Bess is the fifth installment in Bugatti’s six-part Les Légendes de Bugatti collection. It is based on the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse, and contemporary launch coverage reported a production run of three examples.

Gold against black
The car’s black exterior is set off by gold details, including a real 24-carat gold element in the horseshoe grille. Coverage also notes gold on the EB emblem and wheel centers. These are specific treatments of the Black Bess edition, rather than evidence that the entire car is made from gold.
Artwork made for the three cars
The cabin combines beige and Havana leather with crimson accents on the steering wheel and stitching. Its door panels depict the historic Type 18 and Roland Garros’s Morane-Saulnier Type H aircraft. Luxurylaunches reports that Bugatti used hand-painted scenes, a special ink, and a protective treatment; the six panels across the three cars are not identical. That makes the artwork individually executed, though the edition itself is not a one-off.

What is the Black Bess connection to Roland Garros?
The modern edition pays tribute to the Type 18 Black Bess associated with French aviator Roland Garros. Autoweek’s April 20, 2014 launch coverage recounts that Garros owned one of seven Type 18s and that the car took its Black Bess name from an English racehorse. The modern car’s door art connects that history to Garros’s aircraft.

How much horsepower does a Black Bess have?
The underlying Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse specification was reported by Autoweek in 2014 as an 8.0-liter W16 producing 1,183 hp and 1,106 lb-ft, with a 0–62 mph time of 2.6 seconds. Luxurylaunches gives the output as 1,184 hp while reporting the same torque figure. The one-horsepower difference is a variation in reported rounding or presentation, not evidence of a mechanical difference between Black Bess cars. These are model-level specifications, not an independent test of the example reported for sale.
Luxurylaunches also cites a 2013 roof-down speed record of 254.04 mph for the Grand Sport Vitesse. That is a model-level record, not a speed demonstrated by the Black Bess currently reported for sale.

What do the price references establish?
They do not establish this car’s asking price or current value. The October 2026 report mentions an original price of €2.15 million before taxes and an approximately $5.44 million sale in September 2026 of a different Les Légendes car, the Jean-Pierre Wimille edition. Those figures refer to separate contexts; neither is a disclosed price or supported valuation for this Black Bess.
