Bugatti lists a starting price of €3.8 million and limited production of 250 cars. That is the official price in euros—not a fixed $4 million U.S. transaction price.
Is the Bugatti Tourbillon a hybrid?
Yes. Unveiled in June 2024, the Tourbillon is Bugatti’s new limited-production hybrid hypercar and a successor-era model after the W16-powered Veyron and Chiron. Its powertrain combines an 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16, developed with Cosworth’s help, with three electric motors.
Bugatti’s launch figures assign 1,000 hp to the combustion engine and 800 hp to the electric motors, for 1,800 hp combined. These are manufacturer-stated figures, not independently measured test results. The launch materials describe two motors on a front e-axle and a third at the rear; the arrangement provides four-wheel drive and torque vectoring. Bugatti’s launch press kit outlines the system.
What does the Bugatti Tourbillon cost?
Bugatti gave the Tourbillon a starting price of €3.8 million and capped production at 250 examples in its 2025 customer-configuration announcement. A headline describing it as costing “$4 million” is a rounded dollar framing; the published starting price is in euros, and a conversion should not be mistaken for a current U.S. transaction price. Bugatti’s announcement gives the price and production limit.

Bugatti said all 250 production slots were allocated shortly after the June 2024 premiere. Allocation means the production places were spoken for; it does not, by itself, establish that customers had received their cars.
What are the Tourbillon’s battery and electric-range figures?
Bugatti’s June 2024 launch press kit specifies a 25 kWh battery and more than 60 km (37 miles) of electric range. A later Bugatti platform release instead lists 24 kWh while also stating that range exceeds 60 km. Rimac Technology, the technology supplier, gives 25 kWh. The published capacity figures therefore do not match across releases; the range claims are manufacturer and supplier statements, not independent real-world measurements.

Bugatti describes the battery as centrally housed in a T-shaped layout integrated into the monocoque structure. Rimac Technology specifies an 800-volt system, an oil-cooled battery and more than 1,500 cells. Those latter technical details are Rimac’s supplier description. Bugatti’s platform release and Rimac Technology’s release provide the respective specifications.
How does the Tourbillon differ from the Veyron and Chiron?
The defining shift is the powertrain: the Veyron and Chiron belong to Bugatti’s W16 era, while the Tourbillon replaces that architecture with a naturally aspirated V16 assisted by electric motors. Bugatti presents the car as a new chapter rather than a continuation of the W16 formula. The available official figures support a comparison of configuration and claimed output, but not an independent, like-for-like performance comparison.

Why is it called the Tourbillon?
Bugatti says the name refers to the watchmaking mechanism, not to a conventional wristwatch installed in the car. The reference suits the Tourbillon’s analogue instrument cluster, which Bugatti says was crafted with Swiss watchmakers, and its stated aim of creating a design intended to feel timeless. The cluster’s watchmaking connection is a design choice, distinct from the car’s hybrid powertrain.

Bugatti said deliveries were planned to begin in 2026. Its year-end 2025 update described customer configurations as underway and development continuing while the Molsheim Atelier was prepared for Tourbillon assembly. Those updates describe a planned delivery window and ongoing preparation; they do not confirm that customer handovers had begun. Bugatti’s 2025 update covers the configuration and preparation stage, while its design-history release reported the expected delivery timing and slot allocation.
