What makes the F.K.P. Hommage a special Bugatti?
Time+Tide identifies the F.K.P. Hommage as a one-off created to commemorate Ferdinand Karl Piëch and the Veyron. Its feature describes the car as the second Programme Solitaire creation, after Brouillard. The program lets favored Bugatti clients commission one-off cars; the feature reports that it is limited to two new creations per year.
The article reports that the Hommage uses Mistral underpinnings and produces 1,600 horsepower, compared with 1,001 horsepower for the Veyron. Those figures are reported by Time+Tide, not independently confirmed against an official specification sheet. Its closing reference to a “$15 million” price reads as a joke, not a verified sale price.

The installation is a bespoke part of this car, not a standard dashboard option or a generally purchasable clock. The report establishes that the car powers the winder, but does not detail how the mechanism works.
How does it compare with the Royal Oak reference?
The feature compares the dashboard piece with Royal Oak reference 26730ST.OO.1320ST.05. It identifies the comparison watch as 41 mm, but notes that the dials do not look exactly alike. The distinction matters: the cited reference is a point of comparison, not proof that the in-car assembly is an unmodified production watch.

What is known—and unknown—about the bespoke watch?
The report does not establish the exact movement or the installation’s construction. Its author says the case appears changed or remade and speculates that perhaps only the movement was carried over. That is an interpretation, not a confirmed description from Bugatti or Audemars Piguet.
So the reliable takeaway is the visible and reported arrangement: a 41 mm Royal Oak Flying Tourbillon-style watch with a gradient red dial, mounted in a car-powered dashboard winder. The available account does not show whether the watch retains its original case or specify the movement inside the assembly.
