The Bugatti Brouillard is a one-of-one coupé commissioned by a private collector and the first creation of Programme Solitaire, Bugatti’s bespoke coachbuilding initiative. Unveiled in August 2025, it pairs a unique body and highly personal interior details with Bugatti’s existing W16 powertrain and carbon-fiber-and-aluminum chassis. Bugatti has not disclosed its price.
What is the Bugatti Brouillard?
Brouillard is a unique commission, not a regular series-production Bugatti. The marque describes Programme Solitaire as a coachbuilding offer that goes beyond Sur Mesure, its personalization program: Solitaire commissions receive bespoke bodywork and interior details while retaining existing Bugatti powertrains and chassis. Bugatti announced Brouillard as the program’s first creation in August 2025. Bugatti’s Programme Solitaire announcement frames the initiative as a return to coachbuilding, in which individually made bodies were paired with automotive chassis and engineering.
Bugatti connects that approach to the marque’s early-20th-century coachbuilding history and its Type 57 variants. That is the brand’s historical framing; it does not mean Brouillard reproduces any particular historic car.
What do Solitaire and Sur Mesure mean for the car?
Sur Mesure personalizes a Bugatti; Programme Solitaire is a separate, more extensive bespoke coachbuilding offer. For Brouillard, that distinction is visible in the one-off exterior and the tailored cabin, rather than in a claim that Bugatti created an entirely new mechanical platform.

What is the Brouillard’s design inspired by?
The name honors Brouillard, a horse beloved by Bugatti founder Ettore Bugatti. The theme carries through the cabin: Bugatti lists embroidered horse motifs on the door panels and seat backs, seats shaped to the owner’s preference, and a custom leather layout. The gear shifter is machined from a single aluminum block and incorporates a glass insert containing a hand-crafted miniature sculpture of the horse. These details make the horse more than a nameplate reference; it is the organizing idea behind the commission’s interior.

What engine and chassis does the Bugatti Brouillard use?
Bugatti says Brouillard uses its 1,600 hp W16 and a carbon-fiber-and-aluminum chassis. In a later event announcement, the marque described the engine as a 1,600 PS quad-turbocharged W16. Those are the figures and units Bugatti used in separate announcements, so they should not be treated as interchangeable labels. The European-debut announcement gives the 1,600 PS wording.

Autocar reported that Brouillard retains Mistral-derived underpinnings. That platform lineage is media reporting; Bugatti’s cited announcements identify the existing powertrain and chassis without setting out a complete technical specification. The useful distinction is that the commission changes the car’s bespoke body and cabin while building on an established Bugatti mechanical base.
How much does the Bugatti Brouillard cost?
Bugatti’s cited announcements do not disclose a price. ANSA characterized a figure above $10 million as probable, but that is an unconfirmed estimate, not a verified sale price or an official Bugatti quote. ANSA’s report is the source of that estimate.

Bugatti announced Brouillard in August 2025 and said it would be publicly unveiled during Monterey Car Week that year. The marque later reported the car’s European debut at Wheels Mariënwaerdt in the Netherlands on 16 September 2025. The initial unveiling announcement set out the Monterey Car Week plan; Bugatti’s European-debut announcement records the later event.
Autocar reported expected delivery in 2027. Bugatti’s cited announcements do not confirm a delivery date, so 2027 should be understood as reported timing rather than a manufacturer-confirmed schedule.
