Boreham Motorworks says its naturally aspirated TEN-K four-cylinder has reached 330PS in calibration while retaining its stated 10,000rpm capability. That exceeds the 300PS target announced for the programme in 2024. The engine is part of a newly built, Ford-licensed Escort Mk1 RS, whose first production-representative prototype was revealed on June 9, 2026.
What Boreham revealed
At London Concours on June 9, 2026, Boreham Motorworks and parent company DRVN Automotive Group presented what they described as the first production-representative prototype of the Escort Mk1 RS. The company said the test car was undergoing rolling-road, dyno and dynamic testing in the UK. The announcement did not confirm a customer delivery date.
This is not a restored original Escort or a restomod built around a donor car. Boreham describes it as an entirely new vehicle made under an official Ford licence. The worldwide programme is limited to 150 examples, offered in left- or right-hand drive.
How much power does the TEN-K make?
Boreham says the TEN-K, internally designated BD10-330, has achieved 330PS through calibration and retains 10,000rpm capability. The naturally aspirated inline-four has a stated displacement of 2.152 litres. These are Boreham/DRVN figures, not results from an independent road test or third-party dyno evaluation.

The figure represents a development milestone above the original 300PS target announced in December 2024. In November 2025, Boreham had already announced a 330PS engine and described dyno calibration and road testing as ongoing; the June 2026 reveal is the latest company statement on the engine and car.
How the engine is built
Boreham describes the TEN-K as a bespoke, high-revving engine rather than a production Ford unit. Its stated design features include:

The company says the block uses 3D-printed casting technology and lists the crankshaft, cradle, dry-sump system and cam cover among its billet components. The release does not provide a full parts specification or independent verification of the weight.
What the figures mean for the car
The Escort has a manufacturer-stated target weight of 895kg and rear-wheel drive. The target is heavier than the 800kg vehicle weight cited in the initial December 2024 programme announcement, so the earlier figure should not be treated as the current target.

Boreham also says its fully floating aluminium-and-titanium rear axle reduces rear unsprung mass by 50%, or 40kg, compared with period competition Escorts. That comparison and reduction are manufacturer claims; the announcement does not supply an independent measurement method.
Price, production and road-use qualifications
Boreham’s June 2026 starting prices are £295,000 for the UK and rest of world, and $400,000 in the US. Both are before local taxes and options. The release states a two-year, 20,000-mile warranty. It does not provide a confirmed delivery schedule.

The headline change is not a new claim that the engine can rev beyond 10,000rpm: Boreham says it has retained that capability while calibrating the engine to 330PS. The output is stated as achieved in calibration, whereas the car’s 895kg remains a target.
