The Boreham Motorworks Alan Mann 68 Edition is a limited continuation competition car based on the Alan Mann Racing Ford Escort associated with chassis XOO 349F. Boreham announced 24 examples in April 2025, describing them as race-ready and supplied with an FIA Historic Technical Passport. It is separate from Boreham’s road-going Ford Escort Mk1 RS: the road car’s specifications should not be attributed to this edition.
What is the Boreham Motorworks Alan Mann 68 Edition?
It is a continuation of the 1968 Alan Mann Racing Ford Escort Mk1, a competition car linked to the British Saloon Car Championship’s 1968 and 1969 campaigns. Boreham Motorworks identifies the original Group 5 Escort, XOO 349F, as the basis for the edition in its history of its Ford performance lineage.
DRVN Automotive Group’s 23 April 2025 announcement calls the car a continuation and says each example carries continuation Ford and Alan Mann Racing chassis numbers. Boreham describes the cars as hand-assembled in-house and “blueprint-accurate”; those are the maker’s claims, not independent inspection findings. The company says the edition is manufactured and distributed solely by Boreham Motorworks, with Ford marks used under licence.
How many will be made?
Boreham and DRVN announced a limited run of 24 examples. The announcement’s phrase “Limited to just 24 precisely crafted examples” is the manufacturer’s description of the production limit. It does not establish how many remain available or whether all have been completed or delivered.

Is the Alan Mann 68 Edition a race car?
Yes. Boreham announced it as a competition car supplied ready to race with an FIA Historic Technical Passport. That description and documentation claim come from the manufacturer; the announcement is not an independent assessment of eligibility for any particular series. Prospective owners should confirm the car’s documentation and the rules of the championship or event they intend to enter.
What ownership and racing support did Boreham announce?
The April 2025 announcement said the 24 owners would be invited to race events, with race-licence training offered where needed and a dedicated Alan Mann Racing pit crew providing support. It described the possibility of UK and international events. This is the announced ownership programme, not confirmation of any owner’s current schedule or individual entitlements.

How does it differ from the road-going Boreham Ford Escort Mk1 RS?
The Alan Mann 68 Edition is presented as a historic-racing continuation; the separate Boreham Ford Escort Mk1 RS is a road-going model. They are distinct vehicles, and specifications published for the road car should not be used as specifications for the Alan Mann edition.
