Bobcat announced the B760 backhoe loader for its North American lineup on September 4, 2024. It combines a front loader for lifting and carrying material with a rear backhoe for digging; Bobcat lists excavation, site preparation, material handling, trenching and snow removal as potential uses. The manufacturer’s current North American page lists 96 hp, an operating weight of 19,274 lb and a maximum digging depth of 221.4 inches. These are manufacturer figures, not results from an independent test.
What is the Bobcat B760?
The B760 is a backhoe loader: one machine with a loader bucket at the front and a digging arm at the rear. That arrangement lets an operator move between loading or carrying material and digging tasks without switching to a different machine. Bobcat identifies excavation, site preparation, material handling, trenching and snow removal among the jobs it is designed to handle.
Bobcat product development specialist Jamison Wood described the machine as offering “dig, load and carry versatility” in the company’s September 4, 2024 launch announcement. That is the manufacturer’s positioning, rather than an independent performance assessment.

Regional specifications are not interchangeable
Bobcat’s Oceania product page lists a different B760 specification: 94 hp, 7,963 kg operating weight and 4,000 kg rated operating capacity. It also lists a Perkins 1104D-44T engine, a 4/4 Carraro transmission and a maximum speed of 40 km/h. These are Oceania-market figures and should not be blended with the North American specifications above. Confirm the market and configuration before comparing machines.
