- ABS code display: Snap-on described it as displaying ABS codes on “the most popular OBD2 vehicles.” The announcement does not say which makes, models, or years that phrase covers.
- Enhanced OBD2 live data: The announcement says the tool can view enhanced live data but does not specify the data parameters, vehicle coverage, or limitations.
- Mode 1–9 testing: Snap-on lists the ability to perform Mode 1–9 testing. The announcement does not provide a more detailed explanation of how each mode is implemented on the YA3160.
Which vehicles does the YA3160 support?
The 2009 announcement does not give an exact YA3160 compatibility list, connector or protocol details, or a year range for its ABS feature. “The most popular OBD2 vehicles” is not specific enough to confirm coverage for an individual vehicle.
Do not confuse the YA3160 with the YA3020. In the same announcement, Snap-on says the YA3020 works on “all 1996 & newer vehicles.” That statement is about a separate model and is not evidence that the YA3160 supports every 1996-or-newer vehicle.
