BMW says the XB7 MANUFAKTUR will be the final XB7, with 120 examples planned for the United States and Canada. The limited edition is scheduled to enter production in September 2026, as BMW prepares a distinct BMW ALPINA marque whose first new-era model is due in 2027.
Is this the last BMW Alpina XB7?
Yes. BMW’s March 6, 2026 announcement describes the XB7 MANUFAKTUR as the close of XB7 production. It is a final edition of the current model line, not the first vehicle of the new BMW ALPINA era.
BMW’s U.S. release calls it the 2026 XB7 MANUFAKTUR, while BMW USA’s model page labels it 2027. The sources do not explain the difference, so both labels are worth noting rather than treating them as interchangeable.
How many will be made, and where?
BMW says 120 examples are planned for the United States and Canada combined. BMW Canada identifies 12 for Canada; that leaves 108 for the U.S. by subtraction, although BMW has not separately published a U.S. allocation.

Each vehicle is to carry a “1 of 120” plaque. BMW says production will take place at BMW Plant Spartanburg beginning in September 2026, with deliveries expected in the fourth quarter of 2026. These are the company’s announced plans, not confirmation that production or deliveries have occurred.
How much does the final XB7 cost?
BMW’s U.S. release lists an MSRP of $180,000, plus $1,550 destination and handling. Those are U.S. manufacturer-published figures; the release does not establish pricing for Canada. BMW describes the U.S. edition as a single, fully equipped specification.

What makes the XB7 MANUFAKTUR different?
Buyers are offered two paint choices: Frozen ALPINA Green or Frozen ALPINA Blue. BMW’s U.S. specification combines them with Shadowline high-gloss black exterior trim and 23-inch ALPINA CLASSIC forged 20-spoke wheels.
The cabin includes Tartufo Full Merino leather, ALPINA Walnut Nature Black trim, second-row captain’s chairs and Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound. BMW also says each vehicle comes with two handmade brown LAVALINA leather ALPINA weekender bags.

Power and capability
BMW lists a 4.4-liter Bi-Turbo V8 based on the BMW S68 engine, rated at 631 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. The company quotes a 0–60 mph time of 3.9 seconds and a maximum towing capacity of 7,500 pounds with the standard receiver hitch. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results.

BMW Group says BMW ALPINA relaunched on January 1, 2026, as a distinct marque within its portfolio. The company describes the brand’s focus in terms of individuality, refinement, comfort and high performance.

The first new-era BMW ALPINA model is due to launch in 2027 and is inspired by the BMW 7 Series. That is separate from the final XB7: BMW presents the XB7 MANUFAKTUR as the end of the XB7 line, while the 7 Series-inspired vehicle is the upcoming first model under BMW ALPINA.
The Vision BMW ALPINA is a study, not a car for sale
BMW showed the Vision BMW ALPINA at Villa d’Este in 2026 as a design study. BMW USA says the study itself is not intended for sale, though elements may influence future models. Its U.S. brand page says new-era vehicles remain in development and are not yet available for sale in the country.
Adrian van Hooydonk, Head of BMW Group Design, said the Vision BMW ALPINA shows how the brand’s qualities can be expressed with “discipline and modernity.” That describes the design direction, not a production specification or confirmed feature list.
