Yes. BMW Motorrad’s January 17, 2025 release says it sold 210,408 motorcycles worldwide in 2024, calling the result the strongest in its history. A later BMW Group report gives a different 2024 comparison figure—210,385—so the record is clear in BMW’s account, but its published exact total is inconsistent by 23 units.
What BMW reported for 2024
BMW Motorrad reported 210,408 motorcycles sold worldwide during 2024 in its January 17, 2025 press release. The company described that as its strongest sales result in company history.
The BMW Group Report 2024 also describes an all-time high of more than 210,000 BMW motorcycles and scooters. It says BMW Motorrad remained number one in the global premium motorcycle segment; that ranking is BMW’s characterization, not an independently established market ranking in the cited material.
Where BMW said the motorcycles sold
Europe was BMW Motorrad’s largest region, with 118,727 units reported for 2024. Germany was its largest named individual market. The country figures below are from BMW Motorrad’s January 2025 release; they are selected markets, not a complete global breakdown.

BMW attributed the result to its product range and new model introductions. That is the company’s explanation of the record, rather than independent evidence isolating how much any model contributed.

- F-series: The renewed F 800 GS, F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure, F 900 R and F 900 XR together accounted for 40,890 reported sales.
- High-performance four-cylinder models: BMW reported 27,147 worldwide sales across the group, including its three M models. The S 1000 RR alone accounted for 11,610.
- G 310 models: The G 310 GS, G 310 R and G 310 RR together recorded 22,339 sales.
- Urban Mobility: BMW reported more than 20,000 sales for the C 400 GT, C 400 X, CE 04 and CE 02 combined.
The release also highlighted the R 12 and R 12 NineT heritage models, alongside the M 1000 XR and S 1000 XR. These figures and model descriptions are BMW’s reported figures for 2024, not independent sales audits.

The January 2025 release gives 210,408 motorcycles for 2024. The later BMW Group Report 2025 lists 210,385 as the 2024 comparison figure. The reviewed BMW materials do not explain the 23-unit difference, so the numbers should not be treated as reconciled or interchangeable. For the specific record announcement, 210,408 is the figure in BMW Motorrad’s dated release; the report’s comparator is worth noting when citing an exact total.
