The listings show an ex-showroom price of ₹2,11,50,000. CarDekho estimates ₹2,60,54,618 on-road, while CarWale lists ₹2,67,00,548. These are publisher estimates rather than a written dealer invoice, so use the range for budgeting and obtain a current, itemised quote from an authorised Hyderabad BMW dealer before paying a booking amount.
The ₹1,99,00,000 ex-showroom figure announced at the seventh-generation M5’s India launch in November 2024 is no longer a reliable present-day buying price. BMW announced increases of up to 2% from 1 April 2026 and another increase of up to 2% from 1 July 2026, but did not publish an M5-specific revised figure. The amount prevailing on your invoice date is the one that matters.

Current BMW M5 price estimates in Hyderabad
Both current Hyderabad listings use ₹2,11,50,000 as the ex-showroom amount, but their on-road calculations differ substantially. The gap is approximately ₹6,45,930, or about ₹6.46 lakh. That difference is large enough to change the cash you need at delivery and the amount financed, so the source and calculation basis should appear on any quote you accept.

The table is a comparison of estimates, not two competing dealer invoices. Registration is the biggest difference: CarWale uses ₹44,91,500, whereas CarDekho uses ₹38,10,200. Insurance differs by ₹2,230, and the other-charge lines differ by ₹500. CarDekho also includes a ₹38,100 optional amount in its displayed total. Ask the dealer to identify exactly what each line represents rather than assuming that similarly named charges are calculated the same way.

Why the 2024 launch price should not be used as today’s quote
BMW Group India announced the seventh-generation M5 at ₹1,99,00,000 ex-showroom on 21 November 2024. That was the launch price for the new generation, not a permanent price guarantee. Current listings place the ex-showroom amount ₹12.5 lakh higher at ₹2,11,50,000.
BMW subsequently announced a price increase of up to 2% effective 1 April 2026 and another increase of up to 2% effective 1 July 2026. The announcements do not disclose the M5’s exact post-increase price, so it would be misleading to calculate a supposedly official current figure from the percentages alone. The practical rule is BMW’s own: the price prevailing when the vehicle is invoiced applies. A dealer quotation should therefore show its issue date, validity period and the expected invoice date.
What “on-road” includes for an M5 in Hyderabad
Ex-showroom is only the starting price. BMW’s launch-price note says it excludes road tax, Tax Collected at Source (TCS), GST on TCS, RTO statutory taxes and fees, local levies and insurance. A Hyderabad on-road estimate adds some or all of these costs, depending on the calculator’s assumptions and the items selected.

Registration and RTO-related costs
Registration is the largest variable in the two published calculations. The estimates use different registration amounts, which may reflect different assumptions about the applicable statutory charges, timing or included items. Your written quote should state the registration basis and whether every RTO fee and statutory tax is included. Do not treat the lower registration figure as a guaranteed Hyderabad charge.
Insurance
CarDekho’s estimate assigns ₹8,44,818 to insurance; CarWale assigns ₹8,47,048. These are estimates, not a binding premium. Confirm the insurer, policy period, coverage, deductibles and any optional add-ons before comparing the totals. If you arrange insurance independently, ask the dealer to remove its insurance line and show the revised payable amount.
TCS and GST on TCS
BMW explicitly lists TCS and GST on TCS among charges excluded from the ex-showroom price. Check whether the dealer’s on-road total presents them separately or incorporates them into another line. A quote that simply says “taxes included” is harder to audit than one that names each tax and its amount.

Other charges and optional items
The CarDekho calculation shows ₹2,11,500 in other charges and a separate optional ₹38,100. CarWale shows ₹2,12,000 in other charges and does not state an equivalent optional amount in the listed breakdown. Request a description for every such line, including its legal or contractual basis, and decline any item you have not authorised.

Because no current authorised-dealer invoice is supplied by the public listings, the only dependable way to establish your payable price is to request a written quotation. Use this process:
- Identify the vehicle precisely. State that you want the current seventh-generation BMW M5 for Hyderabad, not an older M5 Competition or another model year. Ask the dealer to include the stock or order specification and any factory options.
- Request the invoice-date ex-showroom price. Ask which BMW price list applies, when it expires and whether the price will be adjusted if the vehicle is invoiced after that date. BMW says the price prevailing at invoicing applies.
- Demand an itemised on-road sheet. The document should separate ex-showroom price, registration or RTO charges, road tax, TCS, GST on TCS, insurance, local levies, other charges and every optional item.
- Clarify registration assumptions. Ask why the registration amount is used, what date or statutory basis supports it and whether refunds or corrections are possible if the final RTO assessment differs.
- Compare insurance on equal terms. Check insurer, insured-declared value, zero-depreciation or other add-ons, deductibles and policy duration. Compare like-for-like coverage, not just the premium.
- Record offers separately. If the dealer mentions a discount, exchange benefit or other offer, request its eligibility, expiry and treatment on the invoice. Do not subtract an informal promise from the published total.
- Check the final payable amount before booking. Ensure the booking receipt, quotation and payment schedule all use the same vehicle specification and price validity. Keep the signed quotation for delivery-day reconciliation.
How much money should you plan to have available?
For an initial budget, use the two published on-road totals as a planning band rather than choosing the lower number. The higher estimate provides more protection against a larger registration basis, revised insurance premium, newly selected option or a price change before invoicing. Keep a separate allowance for items the listings do not resolve, especially dealer-selected options and any tax or levy that the calculator may present differently.

The ex-showroom figure is useful when comparing vehicle prices, but it is not the amount needed to put a Hyderabad-registered M5 on the road. Registration, insurance, TCS-related charges and other costs can add tens of lakhs to a car at this price level. Treat any online calculator as a starting worksheet and reconcile it line by line against the dealer’s document.

BMW India names BMW Smart Finance as a financing option and describes flexible arrangements that can include EMI and buy-back options on its offered models. The available information does not establish a standard M5 EMI, interest rate, down payment, tenure or guaranteed buy-back value. Those figures depend on your application, the financed amount, the vehicle invoice and the programme terms in force when you apply.
Questions to ask before accepting a finance illustration
- What ex-showroom and on-road amount is being financed?
- Which charges are paid upfront and which are added to the loan?
- What are the annual interest rate, processing fees, documentation charges and total repayment?
- Is the buy-back value conditional on mileage, service history, vehicle condition or a specified return date?
- What happens if BMW’s price changes before invoicing or delivery?
Obtain the finance sanction and the vehicle quotation together. A low displayed EMI can conceal a larger down payment, balloon amount, insurance financing or fees that are not part of the headline figure.

Which BMW M5 is covered by these figures?
The India launch announcement identifies this car as the seventh-generation BMW M5 with an M Hybrid powertrain retaining a 4.4-litre V8. These Hyderabad prices belong to that generation and its current listing period. Historical prices for older M5 or M5 Competition variants should not be substituted for the current car.
At the launch, BMW Group India President and CEO Vikram Pawah called the M5 “the original performance sedan.” That is BMW’s promotional description, not an independent test conclusion; it does not change the price calculation or establish equipment beyond what appears on the quotation.
