“Common problem” does not mean “certain failure.” The material available for this guide does not support a trustworthy percentage of S65 engines that lose their bearings, nor does it prove that every car requires service at a particular mileage. - Has the car had a water-pump, thermostat or related cooling-system repair? Ask for dates, mileage and invoices.
- Have there been overheating warnings, temperature fluctuations or roadside breakdowns?
- Does the inspection show leaks, damaged hoses, poor electrical connections or other cooling-system concerns?
- What does the technician recommend now, and which findings support that recommendation?
