Colombian motorcycle-content creator Karen Sofía Quiroz Ramírez, known online as “Bikergirl,” “Bikegirl” and “Biker Girl Karen,” died at age 25 after a multi-vehicle crash in Santander, Colombia.
The collision happened Wednesday night, November 26, 2025, on the Anillo Vial between Floridablanca and Girón. Her death was reported after midnight as authorities began investigating how the crash occurred.

What happened in the crash
Preliminary reports from local traffic authorities say Quiroz was riding a Suzuki Gixxer near kilometer 8 of the Anillo Vial, close to the Sport Hobby courts and the Cotrasur area. A Chevrolet Spark and a tractor-trailer were also involved.

She fell onto the roadway and was subsequently run over by the tractor-trailer. She died at the scene or immediately afterward, according to reporting on the incident.

That sequence remains a possible hypothesis, not a confirmed finding. Floridablanca’s traffic director said the circumstances were still under investigation. Prosecutors were expected to examine security-camera footage, interview witnesses and determine whether any driver could bear responsibility.
Authorities have not confirmed an illegal maneuver
Some social-media posts and headlines have described the crash as a lane-splitting incident. The available official account does not establish that Quiroz was illegally filtering between lanes, nor does it assign fault to the Spark driver or the truck driver.
Until investigators complete their review, the safest description is that the Suzuki Gixxer was involved in a collision between a car and a tractor-trailer, followed by a fatal run-over. Factors such as vehicle positions, traffic-lane markings, speed, visibility and the actions of each driver will need to be verified through evidence rather than assumed from early reports.

Hours before the crash, Quiroz reportedly posted an Instagram Story saying that her prescription glasses had broken. The post included the line: “Espero no estrellarme por manejar sin mis gafas”—“I hope I don’t crash because I’m riding without my glasses.”

Followers and several media reports later interpreted the message as a premonition. There is no evidence that authorities treated it as predictive, however. It was a comment about a safety concern made before the crash, not proof that she knew what was going to happen.
Broken or unavailable corrective eyewear can affect a rider’s ability to see road markings, vehicles and hazards, but the reporting available so far does not establish that it caused or contributed to this collision.
Who was Karen Sofía Quiroz?
Quiroz was 25 and had turned that age in October 2025. Her online content centered mainly on motorcycles, riding and related experiences. Reports gave different follower totals depending on the platform and the date they were published: El Tiempo cited roughly 20,000 Instagram followers and more than 12,000 TikTok followers, while Us Weekly later reported more than 31,000 Instagram followers.

A memorial Mass for Quiroz was held Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the chapel of Parque Memorial Tierrasanta in Bucaramanga, Santander.

What vehicles were involved?
