Which BGauss electric scooters are current?
BGauss’s 2026 homepage presents three primary families: BG MAX C12, BG RUV 350 and BG OoWah. Model names alone are not enough for a comparison because battery size, removability, range claim and charging equipment differ by variant.
The C12 is positioned as a practical urban scooter. BGauss highlights a spacious footboard and a 774 mm seat height. The OoWah listings emphasize removable batteries. The RUV 350 is described as an all-metal, heavy-duty scooter. Treat those descriptions as positioning statements; they do not replace a test ride or an inspection of the exact vehicle at your dealer.

The table records the variant-level claims available on the current listings. It does not rank scooters by range: a larger number may come with a larger battery, a different charger, greater weight or a different price, and may not suit your parking or charging arrangement.
How much range can you expect?
BGauss labels 85 km for the C12i EX, 178 km for the C12 MaxR, 123 km for the 2.7 kWh BG MAX C12, 105 km for the OoWah EX and 145 km for the OoWah MAX Plus as ARAI Certified Range figures. These are BGauss claims observed on its 2026 listings. The RUV 350 FAQ says approximately 145 km and explicitly qualifies the number by riding conditions and battery capacity.
ARAI certification is a standardized test result, not a promise that every rider will travel that distance between charges. The available material does not establish a controlled independent road test or an independently verified owner-use average for any variant. Traffic, speed, payload, gradients, temperature, tyre pressure, riding mode and battery age can all change the distance you achieve.

- Measure your normal round trip, including regular detours and the distance to your charging location.
- Add a reserve for unexpected traffic, weather and a busier-than-usual day rather than treating the ARAI figure as a daily target.
- Ask the dealer to demonstrate the exact variant’s dashboard range estimate and identify which riding mode is being used.
- Confirm whether the quoted battery capacity and range apply to the scooter you will actually receive; names such as C12 cover multiple configurations.
For example, a rider with a 35 km daily round trip should compare that requirement with a comfortable reserve, not simply divide 85, 123 or 178 by the trip distance. A lower-range variant may be adequate for short city use if charging is easy; a higher-capacity variant may be worthwhile when you cannot charge every night.

How long do BGauss scooters take to charge?
BGauss’s current homepage FAQ gives three different kinds of charging statement: the BG MAX C12 takes approximately 6 hours 30 minutes for a full charge; RUV 350 charging starts from 2 hours 35 minutes with a 1,350 W fast charger; and OoWah reaches 0–80% in 4 hours 5 minutes with a 500 W charger. “Starts from” and “0–80%” are not equivalent to an empty-to-full time, so do not compare them as though they measure the same charging window.
Some individual product-page FAQ text shows conflicting numbers: 3–4 hours for MAX C12 and a RUV figure starting at 1 hour 55 minutes. The published pages do not explain whether the difference is caused by a variant, charger, battery state or a revised specification. Use the homepage figures only as an attributed indication and obtain the exact charger rating and charge window in writing for your chosen scooter.
Questions to ask about the charger and battery
- Is the quoted time from empty to 100%, or to a partial state such as 80%?
- Does the time assume the standard charger or the optional 1,350 W RUV fast charger?
- Can a removable battery be charged indoors, and what are the battery’s carrying and storage instructions?
- What electrical socket, earthing and ventilation requirements apply at home?
- Does charging slow near full, and is the dashboard showing battery percentage or an estimated distance?
Never buy a replacement charger or battery solely because its voltage or connector looks similar. Confirm compatibility with BGauss or an authorized service center; an incorrect charging component can create a safety risk and may affect warranty coverage.
What do BGauss scooters cost?
BGauss displays prices as ex-showroom amounts including GST and the charger. The cited listings also show selected PM E-Drive and “effective price” amounts. The supplied model information does not establish a single rupee price that applies across India, and displayed incentives can depend on eligibility and location. An effective price is therefore not a universal on-road price.

Your final amount can also include registration, insurance, road tax where applicable, accessories, delivery and local charges. Ask the dealer for a dated, itemized quotation for the exact variant and city. Confirm whether a displayed PM E-Drive amount is available to you before using it in a budget calculation, and ask how long the offer remains valid.
How to compare offers fairly
- Write the exact variant, battery capacity and charger on every quotation.
- Separate ex-showroom, incentive-adjusted and on-road totals.
- Check whether the quotation includes the standard charger, installation or any removable-battery equipment.
- Record insurance, registration and handling charges rather than comparing only the headline effective price.
- Keep the quotation with the warranty documents so the covered configuration is unambiguous.
BGauss’s online savings calculator currently displays zero placeholders for savings, carbon dioxide and tree values in the cited material. Those placeholders are not evidence of zero operating savings or a measured environmental result, so they should not be used as ownership-cost statistics.
What warranty and service support is offered?
BGauss’s general FAQ advertises a three-year warranty for the battery and motor. The homepage also advertises an extended battery warranty of up to five years or one lakh kilometres on selected variants. “Up to” matters: eligibility, duration and distance limits can differ by scooter and battery configuration.
May and June 2025 C12 technical sheets show variant-specific limits and terms, including different battery-kilometre limits and coverage references for the charger and vehicle. One sheet describes an extended battery warranty for a selected variant. BGauss reserves the right to alter specifications and directs buyers to the detailed terms. The broad three-year statement should therefore not be treated as a complete warranty schedule.

Get these warranty details before paying
- Request the current written warranty for the exact model and battery variant, not a generic brochure.
- Record the start date, time limit, kilometre cap and whether the limit is measured from registration, delivery or another date.
- Ask what is covered for the battery, motor, charger, vehicle electronics and physical parts separately.
- Check exclusions, required maintenance intervals, software or inspection requirements, accident and water-damage provisions, and the process for a battery-capacity complaint.
- Confirm which authorized service center will handle warranty work and how a replacement or diagnostic decision is made.
BGauss says it has more than 200 dealerships across India, offers showroom test rides and provides regular maintenance through authorized service centers. Availability is local, however. Use the official dealer locator, test-ride the precise variant you intend to buy and verify the nearest service center’s ability to support that battery and charger.

Short urban commutes: C12i EX or OoWah EX
The 2.0 kWh C12i EX carries the lowest published range claim in the current table at 85 km. The 2.3 kWh OoWah EX is listed at 105 km and has a removable battery. Choose between them based on whether the C12’s footboard and seating suit you, or whether carrying the OoWah battery indoors solves a parking problem. Confirm that the exact C12i EX battery arrangement matches your building and charging access.
More distance between charges: C12 MaxR or OoWah MAX Plus
The 3.8 kWh C12 MaxR is listed at 178 km, while the 3.0 kWh OoWah MAX Plus is listed at 145 km. Both figures are manufacturer ARAI claims. The OoWah’s removable-battery specification may matter more than the numerical difference if you cannot take the scooter to a socket. Ask about battery weight, lifting height and a secure charging location before choosing a removable system.

RUV 350’s FAQ states approximately 145 km and describes an all-metal body and heavy-duty positioning. Battery capacity is not stated in the cited FAQ, and the range is expressly dependent on conditions and capacity. Prioritize a test ride over the description: assess low-speed balance, braking, seat comfort, turning space and how the scooter feels with your normal passenger or cargo.

When service access decides the choice
A scooter that fits your daily distance but lacks a convenient authorized service center can be difficult to own. Before signing, ask the dealer for the service address, booking process, expected turnaround for battery diagnostics and the procedure for roadside or non-starting-scooter assistance. Keep the answer with your purchase documents.
How to complete a BGauss purchase responsibly
- Shortlist by routine. Write your daily kilometres, passenger or cargo needs, parking location and whether you can charge at home.
- Match the variant. Record the full variant name, battery kWh, removable status and charger wattage; do not rely on a family name such as C12 or OoWah.
- Test ride that exact scooter. Check seat reach, footboard space, steering effort, braking, suspension, reverse or parking maneuverability and display readability.
- Verify the claim. Ask the dealer to identify the official range and charging statement for your configuration and explain whether the charge time is partial or full.
- Price the complete transaction. Obtain the dated ex-showroom and on-road quotation, incentive eligibility and every registration, insurance and accessory charge.
- Read the warranty. Write down battery, motor, charger and vehicle coverage, kilometre caps, exclusions and service obligations.
- Plan charging. Confirm socket suitability, cable routing, indoor battery storage if removable and who installs or checks the setup.
- Save support contacts. Keep the dealer, authorized service center and warranty documents accessible from the day of delivery.
Are older BGauss models still current?
An older official BGauss page says the D15, B8 and A2 are discontinued. Their old pages may still appear in search results, but they should not be treated as current alternatives to the BG MAX C12, BG RUV 350 or BG OoWah. If a dealer offers leftover stock, ask for its manufacturing date, battery warranty start point, parts availability and written confirmation of support before considering it.
What the published figures do—and do not—prove
The current material establishes a set of manufacturer specifications: variant-level battery sizes, ARAI-labeled range claims, charging statements, ex-showroom pricing presentation and broad warranty messaging. It does not establish a universal on-road price, a guaranteed everyday range, one charging time shared by every battery, or a market-wide savings or emissions statistic. Those distinctions are important when comparing a scooter for Indian traffic and home-charging conditions.
