Best Supercars | 2026 Newest Supercars Rated

The newest 2026 supercars ranked for driving engagement, performance, usability, technology, design, exclusivity and value—not horsepower alone.

“Newest” is used here to mean cars launched, delivered, or newly rated during the 2026 calendar year—not simply cars carrying a 2026 model-year badge. That matters because the Ferrari 849 Testarossa is a 2026 launch, while some U.S. publications refer to it as a 2027 Ferrari. Chevrolet has created a similar model-year wrinkle with the Corvette ZR1X.

The ranking also separates conventional supercars from hypercars and megacars. The Bugatti Tourbillon, Ferrari F80, McLaren W1 and Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear sit in a more exclusive and technically extreme class. They are included as reference points, not treated as direct alternatives to every car below.

2026’s best new supercars, ranked

This ranking is editorial rather than manufacturer-certified. Straight-line speed is only one part of the decision. Steering feel, braking confidence, chassis balance, ride quality, visibility, low-speed drivability and the sense of occasion all matter—especially when a car will spend more time on public roads than on a circuit.

Rank Model Powertrain Power Claimed acceleration Why it ranks here
1 Ferrari 849 Testarossa 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 plug-in hybrid, AWD 1,050 cv 0–100 km/h in under 2.3 seconds The most complete new package
2 Ferrari 296 Speciale V6 plug-in hybrid, RWD 880 hp 2.8 seconds The strongest driver-focused choice
3 Lamborghini Revuelto 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 hybrid, AWD 1,015 CV 2.5 seconds The best V12 experience
4 Aston Martin Valhalla 4.0-litre twin-turbo flat-plane V8 hybrid 1,079 PS 2.5 seconds The most serious road-and-track hybrid
5 Lamborghini Temerario 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 hybrid 920 CV 2.7 seconds A fast, balanced Huracán successor
6 McLaren 750S 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, RWD 750 PS 2.8 seconds The lightest and most mechanically focused
7 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 hybrid, electric AWD 1,250 hp 0–60 mph in 1.89 seconds Extraordinary American performance value
8 Ferrari Luce / Elettrica Four-motor battery-electric AWD More than 1,000 cv in boost 2.5 seconds The most important electric entrant

1. Ferrari 849 Testarossa: best overall new supercar

The 849 Testarossa replaces the SF90 Stradale and keeps its basic formula: a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 supported by three electric motors. Ferrari increases combined output to 1,050 cv, claims 0–100 km/h in less than 2.3 seconds and quotes a top speed above 330 km/h. Electric-only driving is possible for up to 25 km.

  • 3. Function: Press the two wheels of the front car to trigger the engine sound and lights, and open the door to trigger the lights of the front and rear lights. Place the car on the ground, hold down the car body and pull it back, the car will drive forward. (With pull back function)
  • 4. This Bugatti 1/32 car model pull back car is very suitable for children to play. It contains a display base and is also very suitable for car model lovers to collect as a decoration.
  • 5. Exquisite packaging, which can be used directly for children over three years. Used as a model display as a gift for adults.

Its advantage is not merely the specification sheet. Reviews describe the 849 as more natural, easier to trust and more involving than the SF90, with a more substantial improvement in dynamic character than the familiar numbers suggest. That makes it the most rounded new Ferrari in this group: brutally quick when required, but less intimidating when driven at ordinary road speeds.

The drawbacks are its divisive styling and the fact that its V8 does not deliver the same emotional distinctiveness as the 296 Speciale’s V6. The Spider keeps the same 1,050-cv output and adds a retractable hardtop that opens in 14 seconds at speeds up to 45 km/h.

Verdict: The best choice for buyers who want one car to combine hypercar pace, usable road manners and genuine Ferrari theatre.

2. Ferrari 296 Speciale: best driver-focused supercar

The 296 Speciale is not a replacement for the standard 296 GTB. It is a sharper, more track-oriented derivative of Ferrari’s mid-rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid berlinetta. Its V6 hybrid powertrain produces 880 hp—50 hp more than the GTB and, according to Ferrari, the highest output of any rear-wheel-drive production Ferrari.

Its claimed 0–100 km/h time is 2.8 seconds, with a top speed above 330 km/h. More important is the way the car combines rapid digital assistance with a more analogue-feeling rear-drive balance. It is the car on this list for drivers who would rather explore throttle balance, steering response and chassis movement than simply deploy all-wheel-drive traction.

It gives away some practicality and all-weather security to the 849 Testarossa. It is also likely to be excessive for buyers who rarely visit a circuit. But for engagement, it is arguably the clearest expression of Ferrari’s modern performance philosophy.

Verdict: Pick the 296 Speciale if driving involvement matters more than having the biggest power figure.

3. Lamborghini Revuelto: best V12 experience

The Revuelto preserves the defining ingredient many new supercars have abandoned: a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12. Three electric motors and an eight-speed dual-clutch e-gearbox bring total output to 1,015 CV. Lamborghini claims 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and a top speed above 350 km/h.

KiNSMART Lamborghini Veneno 1:36 Scale 5 Inch Die Cast Metal Model Toy Super Car (Black (Matt))
  • AUTHENTIC DESIGN: Highly detailed 1:36 scale die-cast metal replica of the Lamborghini Veneno supercar with striking finish and Italian flag striping
  • FUNCTIONAL FEATURES: Working doors that open and close, plus pull-back action motor for interactive play value
  • PREMIUM CONSTRUCTION: Die-cast metal body with plastic components and rubber tires for durability and realistic appearance
  • PERFECT SIZE: Compact 5-inch length makes it ideal for display or play while maintaining impressive detail and proportion
  • QUALITY MATERIALS: Constructed using high-grade die-cast metal and quality materials for long-lasting performance and safety

It is more than a dramatic engine installed in a familiar Lamborghini shape. The hybrid system provides electric all-wheel drive and instant response, while the car’s handling is sufficiently intuitive for a machine with this much performance. Independent assessment has also highlighted its touring practicality, which makes it easier to use than the theatrical bodywork suggests.

The price and limited availability are significant barriers. It is also a large, wide car, and its V12 character—not ultimate lap time—is the main reason to choose it. Buyers who want the most clinically rapid car may find the Ferrari 849 more convincing.

Verdict: The Revuelto is the emotional choice: a modern hybrid supercar with an old-school V12 at its centre.

4. Aston Martin Valhalla: best road-and-track hybrid

The Valhalla is Aston Martin’s first series-production mid-engine supercar. Its 4.0-litre twin-turbo flat-plane-crank V8 works with three electric motors to produce 1,079 PS. Claimed figures include 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and a 350 km/h top speed.

Its most revealing number is not acceleration. In race mode, Aston Martin claims more than 600 kg of downforce at 150 mph. That points to a car designed to operate seriously on a circuit rather than merely look like a track weapon outside a hotel.

Production is limited to 999 cars. Unlike some low-volume cars announced years before customer delivery, the Valhalla is not still a concept: production and deliveries began in late 2025, with Aston Martin reporting that deliveries continue through the fourth quarter of 2026. The company has guided to approximately 500 deliveries during 2026.

Verdict: The Valhalla is the most compelling option here for an owner who expects to use both road and track, although its limited production and high specification make it less accessible than the McLaren or Corvette.

5. Lamborghini Temerario: best new-generation Lamborghini

The Temerario replaces the Huracán with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors. Combined output is 920 CV, with a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 2.7 seconds and a 343 km/h top speed.

It is the second model in Lamborghini’s high-performance electrified vehicle range after the Revuelto, but it is not simply a smaller version of that car. The Temerario’s appeal lies in its speed, balance and response, giving it a more manageable entry point into Lamborghini’s hybrid era.

The compromise is sound. The turbocharged V8 has formidable performance, but independent testing has found it less emotionally distinctive than the Huracán’s naturally aspirated V10. Buyers choosing by engine character may therefore prefer the Revuelto—or a remaining Huracán—while buyers choosing by pace and modern capability will find the Temerario stronger.

Verdict: A convincing successor to the Huracán, even if it cannot recreate the old car’s naturally aspirated soundtrack.

6. McLaren 750S: best pure-combustion alternative

The McLaren 750S makes a useful counterargument to the hybrid arms race. Its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 sends 750 PS and 800 Nm to the rear wheels through a seven-speed seamless-shift gearbox. There is no electric motor, and the minimum dry weight is a notably low 1,277 kg.

McLaren claims 0–100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 7.2 seconds and a 332 km/h top speed. Those numbers are not class-leading in 2026, but the car’s low mass, steering response and driver feedback make it highly competitive where a supercar is actually experienced: on a winding road or a technical circuit.

The 750S lacks the silent low-speed running, all-wheel-drive traction and instant electric shove of the hybrid cars. Its interior and ride also do less to justify an ultra-luxury price than some rivals. In exchange, it offers a direct, coherent mechanical experience that is increasingly rare.

Verdict: The best pick for drivers who want a fast modern supercar without carrying a heavy hybrid system.

7. Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X: best American performance value

The Corvette ZR1X sits close to the supercar-hypercar border. Chevrolet markets it as an “electrified hypercar,” but its $209,700 U.S. starting price places it in a very different buying conversation from a €3.8-million Bugatti Tourbillon. It belongs in this comparison because it delivers supercar-level performance with a production-car price structure.

KiNSMART McLaren 720s 5 Inch 1:36 Scale Die Cast Metal Model Toy Super Sports Car (4Set)
  • Realistic Replica: This 1:36 scale die-cast metal model car is a detailed miniature replica of the iconic McLaren 720s supercar.
  • Opening Doors: The model features opening doors that allow you to admire the intricate interior detailing.
  • Pull-Back Action: Engaging the pull-back mechanism enables this toy car to zip across smooth surfaces.
  • Vibrant Color: Showcasing a rich white hue, this miniature captures the sleek and stylish design of the full-size McLaren.
  • Compact Size: Measuring approximately 5 inches in length, this model is perfectly sized for display or playtime.

A twin-turbo 5.5-litre flat-plane-crank V8 and an electric front-drive unit produce 1,250 hp. Chevrolet claims 0–60 mph in 1.89 seconds and a quarter-mile in 8.99 seconds at 157 mph. Stealth Mode allows approximately 4–5 miles of electric driving at speeds up to 45 mph.

The ZR1X is not the most intimate or exclusive car here. Its strongest case is value relative to its performance: it offers electric all-wheel-drive traction and acceleration figures that challenge far more expensive exotics. Check the market-specific model year before ordering, because Chevrolet pages have identified it as both a 2026 and a 2027 model.

Verdict: The rational performance bargain—if “bargain” can be used for a $209,700 car—with astonishing launch performance and relatively broad usability.

8. Ferrari Luce / Ferrari Elettrica: most important electric entrant

Ferrari’s first fully electric production car currently appears under two names. Corporate announcements use Luce, while Ferrari’s engineering and technical pages continue to use Elettrica. They refer to the same first electric Ferrari, not two separate models.

Ferrari lists more than 1,000 cv in boost mode, a 310 km/h top speed, 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and more than 530 km of claimed range. The system uses two electric axles and four permanent-magnet motors. Ferrari says the battery is assembled in Maranello and has an energy density of approximately 195 Wh/kg.

This is an important car rather than a fully proven recommendation. At the time of writing, it should not be described as a broadly independently tested, customer-delivered model. Its ranking reflects technical importance and Ferrari’s ability to translate its brand into an EV, not a completed long-term road-test verdict.

Verdict: The electric Ferrari to watch, but buyers should wait for confirmed deliveries, independent testing and real-world range data.

Car Key figures Classification
Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear 1,300 hp on gasoline, 1,625 hp on E85; 1,385 kg; claimed 360 km/h Megacar; limited to 30 cars
Bugatti Tourbillon 8.3-litre naturally aspirated V16 plus three electric motors; 1,800 PS Hypercar; 250 cars; €3.8 million net starting price
Ferrari F80 Ferrari’s limited-production flagship Hypercar, not a regular-range supercar
McLaren W1 Limited-production ultimate-series McLaren Hypercar, not a direct 750S rival

The Sadair’s Spear is limited to 30 examples and is officially described by Koenigsegg as a megacar. The Tourbillon combines its V16 with three electric motors for 1,800 PS, is limited to 250 cars and is scheduled to begin deliveries in 2026. These cars are technically extraordinary, but their rarity, price and intended use make a direct ranking alongside the 750S or Temerario misleading.

How the 2026 ratings were decided

The overall order weighs the following categories rather than rewarding horsepower alone:

  1. Driving engagement: throttle response, steering feel, balance and the driver’s sense of control.
  2. Performance: acceleration, top speed, braking capability and repeatability.
  3. Ride and road usability: visibility, low-speed behaviour, ride comfort, luggage practicality and all-weather confidence.
  4. Steering, brakes and chassis: consistency, communication and composure at road and circuit speeds.
  5. Design and theatre: visual presence, sound, doors, seating position and the sense of occasion.
  6. Technology: the usefulness—not merely the complexity—of hybrid, aerodynamic and electronic systems.
  7. Exclusivity: production numbers, availability and how special the car feels relative to its price.
  8. Value within the class: what the car offers compared with similarly priced supercars.

That method explains why the 750S can remain competitive against cars with hundreds more horsepower, and why the 296 Speciale ranks above some faster all-wheel-drive hybrids for a driver who values engagement. A supercar should be thrilling at full speed, but it also needs to communicate clearly and remain enjoyable before the speedometer reaches three figures.

FAQ

What is the best new supercar of 2026?

The Ferrari 849 Testarossa is the best overall new supercar in this ranking. Its 1,050-cv plug-in hybrid powertrain, claimed sub-2.3-second 0–100 km/h time and improved dynamic character make it more complete than the SF90 it replaces.

Which 2026 supercar is best for driving enjoyment?

The Ferrari 296 Speciale is the best driver-focused choice. It uses rear-wheel drive, produces 880 hp and combines a track-oriented setup with a more analogue-feeling balance than many heavier, all-wheel-drive hybrids.

Is the Lamborghini Temerario available in 2026?

Yes. Lamborghini lists the Temerario as an active model, not merely an upcoming Huracán replacement. Its twin-turbo V8 hybrid system produces 920 CV and delivers a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 2.7 seconds.

Are the Bugatti Tourbillon and Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear supercars?

They are more accurately classified as hypercars or megacars. Their extremely high prices, limited production, technical positioning and rarity put them above conventional series-production supercars such as the McLaren 750S or Lamborghini Temerario.

The Bottom Line

The Ferrari 849 Testarossa is the strongest all-rounder among the newest 2026 supercars, while the Ferrari 296 Speciale is the better choice for pure driver involvement. The Lamborghini Revuelto remains the emotional V12 favourite, the Aston Martin Valhalla is the most serious road-and-track machine, and the McLaren 750S proves that low weight still matters more than an enormous power figure. For outright performance per dollar, Chevrolet’s Corvette ZR1X is the standout—but the 2026 supercar market is no longer defined by acceleration alone.
