A complete scooter is usually the simpler first purchase; a custom build offers more choice but requires careful compatibility checks.
How to choose a stunt scooter that fits
Rider height and intended riding intensity are useful starting points, but they do not replace checking the scooter’s measurements. Compare the rider with the listed total height, bar height and width, and deck length and width. A general sizing guide suggests handlebars around hip-to-belly height; treat that as a practical benchmark, not a fixed rule. The rider should be able to control the scooter comfortably now rather than needing to grow into an overly tall setup.

Wheels
Check wheel diameter and construction in the exact product listing. ACTA Boardsports describes 110 mm as a common freestyle size and discusses 120 mm wheels on advanced models; Globber lists 120 mm wheels for its GS 900. These are examples, not a rule that larger wheels are better or suitable for every rider.
Compression and component compatibility
Buyers may encounter IHC, HIC and SCS compression systems. When choosing replacement parts or building a custom scooter, verify the precise variant and the fit among the compression system, bar, clamp, fork, deck and wheels. Parts that appear similar are not necessarily interchangeable. Check current compatibility information with the manufacturer or retailer before ordering.

- Remove poor fits: compare rider height and control with each model’s total height, bar and deck dimensions, and stated rider limits.
- Match the use: decide whether the rider’s priorities point toward a lighter, maneuverable park setup or a setup intended for heavier street use; check what the manufacturer actually states.
- Compare the whole specification: review weight, wheel size and construction, compression, and the listed bar, deck and fork details rather than judging by one feature.
- Choose the purchase route: favor a complete if simplicity matters; consider a custom build only if the rider can verify that its parts work together.
- Check serviceability: confirm that compatible replacement parts are available for the specific model and market before relying on an upgrade path.
There is no consistent independent, head-to-head test in the available material that supports a universal “best” ranking across current pro scooters. Use this comparison to identify the best fit for a particular rider, rather than treating one model as the winner for everyone.
Reading a product specification: Globber GS 900
Globber’s manufacturer page describes the GS 900 as a complete pro stunt scooter and lists 120 mm wheels, a threadless aluminum fork and HIC compression. Those details show how to read a specification page: check the complete setup and the named components, then compare them with the rider’s fit and intended use. They do not establish that this model is best overall. Confirm the current variant and market listing before relying on its specifications.
