Audi Q8 e-tron: an electric step from Audi’s larger SUVs
Audi called the Q8 e-tron the top-of-the-line model in its electric SUV portfolio, citing comfort, an optimized drive concept, aerodynamics, charging performance, and battery capacity. That is Audi’s own positioning, not an independent assessment. Car and Driver describes the Q8 e-tron as a familiar transition for Audi Q7 and Q8 owners, making it a specific fit for shoppers who value continuity with those vehicles. Cadillac LYRIQ: a prominent US-market contender
General Motors said the LYRIQ was the best-selling midsize luxury electric SUV in the United States from January through September 2024, citing S&P Global Mobility registrations. The claim is limited to that period, geography, and segment; it is not a measure of reliability, owner satisfaction, or overall quality. Genesis Electrified GV70: familiar luxury in an electric version
Car and Driver describes the Electrified GV70 as a luxury EV based on the GV70 and notes its DC fast-charging capability. Its review says the GV70’s range is shorter than the Cadillac LYRIQ and Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, but do not treat that as a trim-matched numerical comparison: range depends on configuration and rating cycle. What the safety evidence says
The IIHS lists different award tiers and eligibility for two vehicles in this group. The distinctions matter: the GV70 award has a build-date condition, while the Q8 e-tron holds a different tier.

The available coverage confirms that these vehicles were reviewed, but does not establish comparative scores or a ranked winner. - Choose the trim first. Equipment and battery configuration can affect the vehicle you are comparing.
- Check the official range for that trim. Confirm the rating cycle and model year, then compare like with like.
- Compare dated prices. Use original MSRP for a new-vehicle comparison or a dated used-market price for used shopping; do not treat one as the other.
- Assess charging for your routine. Consider vehicle charging capability and access to charging, rather than relying on a single advertised figure.
If you plan to install a home charger, verify connector compatibility and the car’s charging limits, your home electrical capacity, installation requirements, and local rules. No particular charger is established as compatible with all five vehicles.
