Choose the Ola S1 Z if the lowest listed entry price or maximum certified range matters most, and choose the Ather Rizta if family comfort, storage and public charging access outweigh its higher starting price. The MVS7 remains a different kind of vehicle: its strongest advantages are utility carrying capacity and a claimed battery-swap routine, not scooter-like performance or a large installed battery.
This comparison uses Indian prices and specifications displayed by the manufacturers or, for the MVS7, a retailer. Prices, incentives, delivery dates and local availability can change, so confirm the exact variant and support options in your city before paying a booking amount.

Quick verdict: which MVS7 alternative fits your commute?
There is no single “better” scooter for every MVS7 buyer. The right choice depends on what you need after leaving home: a nearby service centre, the lowest upfront price, a long certified range, regular pillion carrying, or a way to avoid waiting for a battery to charge.
| Best for | Pick | Why it fits | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Service access and conventional scooter ownership | TVS iQube | TVS says the iQube is sold through 2,800+ dealers in 1,000+ Indian cities, with several speed, battery and range versions. | The displayed example price is ₹1,16,310 ex-showroom before the shown PM E-Drive deduction; your variant, colour, accessories and location change the payable amount. |
| Lowest listed entry price | Ola S1 Z 3.1 kWh | The introductory price shown is ₹79,999, with a claimed 179 km IDC range. | That is an introductory listing and the product page shows configuration-dependent delivery timing extending into 2026 or 2027. |
| Highest headline certified range | Ola S1 Z 5.1 kWh | The listed 301 km IDC figure is the highest in this comparison. | IDC is a certification-cycle result, not a guaranteed distance on your route; check the delivery date for the selected configuration. |
| Passenger comfort, storage and charging access | Ather Rizta | It offers 123 km or 161 km IDC versions, an 80 km/h top speed and Ather’s stated 6,100+ public charging points in 370+ cities. | Rizta S starts at ₹1,21,999 and Rizta Z at ₹1,36,999, both above the MVS7’s listed starting price. |
| Utility loads and rapid energy turnaround | Motovolt MVS7 | The retailer lists a 180 kg payload, a 2.1 kWh swap battery and a swap time of under two minutes at 855+ Indofast stations. | These are retailer/claimed specifications. Confirm that a station and compatible battery are actually available on your routes. |
What the Motovolt MVS7 baseline actually offers
Sri Rag Motors lists the MVS7 from ₹59,999 with an 80–85 km IDC range claim and a 50 km/h top speed. Its stated 180 kg payload is unusually relevant for a commuter who carries tools, groceries or delivery loads, rather than only a rider and a small bag. The listed 2.1 kWh Indofast swap battery is intended to change the ownership routine: the retailer says a swap takes under two minutes at 855+ Indofast stations.

The MVS7 also has a utility-oriented layout. The retailer says the cargo-to-commute setup can be changed in under 90 seconds, and lists a three-year/30,000 km vehicle warranty. Those figures should be treated as claims from the retailer page, not as an independent test. Ask the seller to identify the warranty issuer, exclusions, battery terms and the stations that serve your normal journey.
This baseline explains why a simple battery-capacity comparison can mislead. A 2.1 kWh swappable pack is not directly equivalent to a larger fixed battery if you have a reliable swap point near work. Conversely, a swap model is a poor fit if the nearest station is inconvenient, has limited operating hours or cannot guarantee a charged compatible pack when you arrive.
Specification and price comparison
| Model | Listed price information | Certified range | Top speed | Battery or capacity information | Charging or energy access | Warranty information |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Motovolt MVS7 | From ₹59,999 on Sri Rag Motors’ listing | 80–85 km IDC (retailer claim) | 50 km/h | 2.1 kWh Indofast swap battery | Swap claimed in under two minutes at 855+ Indofast stations | Three years/30,000 km vehicle warranty (retailer claim) |
| TVS iQube | Displayed example ₹1,16,310 ex-showroom before the shown PM E-Drive deduction; varies by variant, colour, accessories and location | 114–212 km IDC | 68–82 km/h | 2.3–5.3 kWh installed capacity | 10–80% in about 2 hours 25 minutes to 4 hours, depending on version | Not stated in the supplied manufacturer information |
| Ola S1 Z 3.1 kWh | ₹79,999 introductory price | 179 km IDC | 70 km/h | 3.1 kWh | Not stated in the supplied product information | Three years/40,000 km scooter warranty |
| Ola S1 Z 5.1 kWh | ₹99,999 introductory price | 301 km IDC | 70 km/h | 5.1 kWh | Not stated in the supplied product information | Three years/40,000 km scooter warranty |
| Ather Rizta S | From ₹1,21,999 | 123 km or 161 km IDC, depending on version | 80 km/h | Capacity not stated in the supplied product information | Ather Duo personal charger; 6,100+ public charging points in 370+ cities stated by Ather | Three-year/30,000 km standard battery warranty |
| Ather Rizta Z | From ₹1,36,999 | 123 km or 161 km IDC, depending on version | 80 km/h | Capacity not stated in the supplied product information | Ather Duo personal charger; 6,100+ public charging points in 370+ cities stated by Ather | Three-year/30,000 km standard battery warranty |
Do not read the prices as like-for-like on-road totals. The MVS7 figure is a retailer’s starting price, the Ola figures are marked introductory prices, the TVS figure is an ex-showroom example that displays a PM E-Drive deduction, and the Rizta figures are starting prices. Registration, insurance, accessories, finance, local incentives and delivery charges can alter what you actually pay.
TVS iQube: the strongest service-network alternative
The iQube is the most defensible choice when downtime and support distance matter more than buying at the MVS7’s price. TVS states that the iQube is available through “2800+ dealers across 1000+ cities in India.” That is a published footprint, not a promise that every outlet stocks every battery or can complete every repair immediately, but it gives the iQube the clearest service-network advantage in this group.
Which iQube specification suits a city route?
The range spans 68–82 km/h top speeds, 114–212 km IDC claims and 2.3–5.3 kWh installed capacity. A smaller version may be adequate for a short, predictable commute and can reduce the purchase price; a larger-capacity version gives more certified headroom for longer days. The listed 10–80% charging times run from about 2 hours 25 minutes to 4 hours, depending on the variant.

- 🔋 Up to 15 Miles Range & Fast Charging. Equipped with a durable 36V 5.2Ah lithium battery, this commuter electric scooter delivers up to 15 miles of riding range on a single charge. Fast charging design gets you back on the road quickly for work, campus, or weekend rides.
- 🛞 8.5" Solid Tires – Maintenance-Free Comfort. The 8.5-inch honeycomb solid tires are puncture-proof and airless, eliminating the hassle of flats and tire maintenance. Designed for smooth riding on sidewalks, paved roads, and urban environments.
- 🛑 Dual Braking System & Safe Night Riding. Features an advanced EABS electronic brake combined with a rear drum brake for responsive and reliable stopping power. Bright LED headlight, taillight, and side reflectors improve visibility and riding safety day or night.
- 📱 Smart APP Control & LED Display. Connect your scooter through the smart APP to control riding modes, monitor battery level, track speed, activate cruise control, and lock the scooter remotely. The LED display provides clear real-time riding information.
Choose the iQube when you can charge overnight or during a workday and want a familiar scooter format. It is less compelling than the MVS7 if your work depends on swapping in minutes, and its published starting-price example is substantially higher than the MVS7 listing. Before choosing a version, ask the local dealer which battery size is stocked, whether a home charger is included, and where warranty work is performed.
Ola S1 Z: entry price and headline range
The S1 Z is the price-and-range alternative. Ola lists the 3.1 kWh version at an introductory ₹79,999 with a 179 km IDC range, and the 5.1 kWh version at ₹99,999 with a 301 km IDC range. Both are listed with a 70 km/h top speed, 4 kW peak motor power and a three-year/40,000 km scooter warranty.
What the delivery dates mean for a buyer
The product page shows delivery timing of December 2026 for one configuration and March 2027 for the other. It does not make those dates a universal delivery promise for every city, so treat them as configuration-dependent listings. Confirm the date for the exact battery version, colour and delivery postcode before comparing the S1 Z with a scooter available immediately.
How to interpret the 179 km and 301 km claims
Both figures are IDC certification claims. They are useful for comparing the manufacturer’s tested versions, but they do not guarantee the distance you will obtain with traffic, hills, payload, speed, weather, tyre pressure and riding style. The 5.1 kWh model has the larger headline buffer; it also costs ₹20,000 more on the listed introductory prices and may have a different delivery schedule.
Ather Rizta: the family-focused alternative
The Rizta is the better match when a city scooter must carry a passenger comfortably and provide a straightforward charging ecosystem. Ather lists Rizta S from ₹1,21,999 and Rizta Z from ₹1,36,999, with 123 km or 161 km IDC range options and an 80 km/h top speed. The standard battery warranty shown is three years/30,000 km.

Ather states that its public network has 6,100+ charging points in 370+ cities and offers home charging through the Ather Duo charger. That network can reduce planning anxiety for riders who regularly cross town, but the number alone does not prove a point is close to your home, workplace or usual destinations. Check the live availability and operating hours for the locations you would actually use.
Rizta S versus Rizta Z
The supplied product information identifies the Rizta Z with Google Maps navigation and a pillion backrest. Those features make the Z the more family-oriented choice when the price difference fits your budget. The S can be the rational pick when you want the Rizta platform and charging access without paying for the Z’s additional equipment. Confirm which range option and charger package are attached to the quotation, because the 123 km and 161 km figures represent different versions.
Certified range is not your route range
IDC figures are certification-cycle results. They are not a promise that an MVS7 will cover 85 km, an S1 Z will cover 301 km or a Rizta will cover 161 km in every commute. No authoritative, directly comparable real-world test set is established here, so avoid ranking these scooters by IDC alone.
Use a route calculation before booking
- Measure the full round trip, including detours you regularly make, rather than counting only the distance from home to work.
- List the conditions that increase consumption: frequent stop-start traffic, flyovers or hills, high speed, heavy loads, a passenger and hot or cold weather.
- Decide whether you can recharge at home every night, at work during the day, or at a public point. If none is reliable, a documented swap location may matter more than a larger fixed battery.
- Keep a practical reserve instead of planning to arrive with the battery nearly empty. The exact reserve percentage is your risk decision, not a guaranteed figure from the certification test.
- Ask the dealer to demonstrate the displayed range estimate and explain how warranty support handles battery degradation or a range complaint.
Charging versus swapping: choose the routine you can repeat
When the MVS7 swap system wins
A sub-two-minute swap can be valuable for a rider who cannot leave a vehicle plugged in, needs several shifts in one day, or operates close to an Indofast station. The MVS7’s utility conversion claim—under 90 seconds from cargo to commute—also suits a mixed workday. Verify the 855+ station figure locally: a national count does not guarantee a station on your route, a charged battery at peak time or coverage in every city.
When a fixed-battery scooter is simpler
The iQube’s published 10–80% times of about 2 hours 25 minutes to 4 hours, the S1 Z’s listed battery sizes, and the Rizta’s home and public charging options all assume that you have access to a suitable charger and time to use it. Home charging is usually easiest when you have a secure parking space with permission to install or use the charger. For apartment residents, obtain written approval and identify the electricity connection before delivery.

Payload, passengers and vehicle format
The MVS7’s listed 180 kg payload is its clearest utility advantage. If you routinely carry goods, calculate the combined weight of rider, passenger, cargo and accessories and compare it with the manufacturer’s stated limit. Do not infer an equivalent payload for the iQube, S1 Z or Rizta from their battery size or scooter appearance; the supplied specifications do not state comparable payload figures.
For a family commute, the Rizta’s pillion backrest on the Z version is a relevant comfort feature. The iQube and S1 Z are conventional scooter-format alternatives, but the supplied information does not establish their seat dimensions or storage volume. Sit on each model with the intended passenger and check helmet, work-bag and rain-gear storage before ordering.
Service, warranty and local support checks
A warranty duration is useful only if you can reach an authorised workshop and obtain parts. The MVS7 and Rizta list three-year/30,000 km coverage in the supplied information, while the S1 Z lists three years/40,000 km for the scooter. The iQube’s supplied material gives a dealer count but not a warranty term, so request the written warranty schedule.
Ask every seller these questions
- What is the nearest authorised service location to my home and workplace?
- Does that outlet service the exact battery and trim I am ordering?
- What is covered for the vehicle, charger, fixed battery or swap battery, and what parts are excluded?
- For a swap model, how many stations are within my normal route and what happens if a station is offline?
- For a fixed battery, what charger is supplied, what installation work is required, and what is the expected repair process for a charging fault?
- What on-road price remains after the locally applicable incentive, registration, insurance and accessories?
Buying after local incentives
Compare written on-road quotations, not headline prices. The TVS display specifically shows a PM E-Drive deduction, while the Ola amounts are introductory and the MVS7 amount is a retailer’s “from” price. Ask each dealer to itemise the ex-showroom amount, incentive or deduction, registration, insurance, charger, accessories, delivery and any finance charges. A lower displayed price can disappear when a required charger, insurance package or accessory is added.

Choose the MVS7 when utility and swap access are non-negotiable
Buy the MVS7 only after confirming a practical Indofast route and the retailer’s warranty terms. Its 50 km/h top speed, claimed 80–85 km IDC range and 180 kg payload make sense for urban utility work, especially when the cargo-to-commute conversion and rapid swap process save time.

Choose the TVS iQube when service reach reduces your risk
Select an iQube variant if an authorised TVS outlet is substantially closer than alternatives and you prefer scheduled charging. Its broad published range of versions lets you match capacity and speed to your budget, while the 2,800+ dealer and 1,000+ city claim is the strongest service-network evidence in this comparison.
Choose the Ola S1 Z when price or certified range leads the decision
The 3.1 kWh S1 Z is the lowest listed alternative entry point at ₹79,999, while the 5.1 kWh version carries the 301 km IDC headline. Pick only after confirming the exact delivery month and understanding that IDC range will not equal every real commute.
Choose the Ather Rizta when people and charging access come first
The Rizta’s 80 km/h top speed, 123/161 km IDC choices, Duo home charger and stated 6,100+ public charging points make it a strong family and cross-city option. The higher starting prices are justified only if the comfort, storage and charging network solve a problem you actually have.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?

A city-commuter decision checklist
- Write down your round-trip distance, passenger frequency, cargo weight and the longest day you expect to ride between charges.
- Visit or call the nearest service locations for every shortlisted model; record distance, opening hours and whether your chosen variant is supported.
- Map home, workplace and backup charging points. For the MVS7, map Indofast swap stations instead of assuming the national station count applies locally.
- Request an on-road quotation after incentives and a written warranty document.
- Test the seat, passenger position, storage and low-speed manoeuvrability with the load you actually carry.
- Confirm delivery timing in writing, particularly for the two S1 Z configurations whose displayed dates extend to December 2026 and March 2027.
- Choose the model whose daily energy routine remains workable when one charger or station is unavailable.
For a typical city buyer, the TVS iQube is the balanced recommendation because support reach is the least ambiguous. The Ola S1 Z is the value-and-range gamble, the Ather Rizta is the comfort-and-charging choice, and the MVS7 is the specialist utility option. Your city’s actual dealer distance, charging or swap access and written on-road quote should decide the final purchase.
