That does not mean it will instantly cool a sun-heated passenger cabin. A car has extensive glass, can become extremely hot while parked, and is difficult to seal around a portable exhaust hose. WAVE 2 is better understood as a small-space or spot-cooling system. It is most realistic when cooling a sleeping area, tent, rooftop tent, or limited section of a vehicle rather than replacing the car’s factory HVAC system.
The critical power qualification
WAVE 2 can integrate with 12V/24V car charging, but the car socket alone is not automatically enough for compressor cooling in every vehicle. Plan the exhaust before purchasing
A compressor AC removes heat from the cooled air and must discharge that heat somewhere else. In a vehicle, the hot-air exhaust needs a practical route outside the cooled space. Without that route, the unit can undermine its own cooling by putting rejected heat back into the cabin.
