Engine performance: what the published figures actually tell you
Pulsar N125 has the higher stated peak output
Bajaj lists the Pulsar N125 at 12 PS at 8,500rpm and 11Nm at 6,000rpm. Honda states the SP125’s output as 8kW and its torque as 10.9Nm. Eight kilowatts is roughly equivalent to 10.9PS, but the manufacturers use different units and do not publish the figures under a common test description in the material available here. Treat the comparison as a specification-sheet advantage for the Pulsar, not as proof of a particular acceleration time or top speed.
Both engines use five ratios
A five-speed transmission is listed for each motorcycle. That gives neither bike a gearbox-count advantage. Peak power is reached at a stated engine speed, while torque is listed at another speed. Those two numbers do not describe every part of the rev range. In traffic, you may spend more time below the peak points, where clutch tuning, fuelling, gearing and rider technique affect the sensation of response. A higher catalogue figure can be useful when carrying a passenger or joining faster traffic, but it cannot establish a winner without identical acceleration testing. During a ride, make the same overtaking manoeuvre only where it is legal and safe, and compare how much downshifting each bike needs rather than chasing a top-speed number.

What you get on the Pulsar N125
Bajaj lists a Bluetooth-enabled console with call and message notifications on a select N125 variant. USB charging is listed for the model. Because the notification function is variant-dependent, ask the dealer to show the exact console fitted to the motorcycle you are pricing rather than assuming every N125 has the same interface.
What changed on the 2025 SP125
Honda’s 23 December 2024 announcement describes a 4.2-inch TFT, Bluetooth connectivity, compatibility with Honda RoadSync and a USB Type-C port. The announcement presents these as part of the updated 2025 model, but you should still match the feature list to the specific Drum or Disc version in the showroom. RoadSync compatibility indicates phone-linked functionality; it does not by itself establish that every navigation, calling or notification function works on every phone.

Which connectivity approach is more useful?
Choose the N125’s setup if you mainly want basic notifications and charging and the selected variant provides them. Choose the SP125 if a larger color display, USB Type-C and the RoadSync ecosystem are important to your daily routine. Bajaj publishes a 125kg kerb weight and a 9.5-litre fuel capacity for the N125. Honda announced the updated SP125 on 23 December 2024 at ₹91,771 ex-showroom Delhi for the Drum version and ₹1,00,284 ex-showroom Delhi for the Disc version. For a household with two regular riders, both should sit on and ride the motorcycles.
