Engine performance and usable output
Pulsar 125: the output advantage on paper
Bajaj lists the Pulsar 125 with a 124.38 cc engine producing 8.68 kW, equivalent to 11.8 PS, at 8,500 rpm and 10.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Those are manufacturer-published maximum figures, not independent dynamometer results. Compared with the Hero’s stated output, the Bajaj has 27.18 cc more displacement, 2.38 kW more listed power and 2.5 Nm more listed torque.
For a buyer, the practical implication is potential headroom for quicker acceleration and easier maintenance of speed with a pillion or on an open road. Actual response depends on gearing, total load, riding conditions, tyre pressures, service condition and the exact variant. None of those real-world outcomes is established by the cited product page, so treat the output comparison as a specification-based guide rather than a performance-test verdict.
Splendor+ Flex Fuel: lower output, engineered for high-ethanol blends
Hero lists a 97.2 cc engine and gives 6.3 kW at 8,000 rpm plus 8.3 Nm at 6,000 rpm with E85. The qualifying phrase matters: the stated figures are presented in the context of E85 operation. A different blend, ambient temperature or test method could produce different results, and Hero does not provide a directly comparable independent test against the Pulsar 125.

Hero’s prominent model feature and June 2026 release both use the E20–E85 range. A structured specification block on the model page uses a different E5–E85 label, so rely on the repeated headline and press-release range when identifying this model, and verify the label on the motorcycle and invoice at the dealer.

The apparent difference is ₹21,608, but it is not a like-for-like transaction quote. One figure is a product-page display checked in 2026 and the other is a June 2026 launch announcement.
