The Freedom 125 is sold as the NG04 family. The current Bajaj listing names three variants, while the detailed material identifies the top specification as NG04 Disc LED. Use the exact trim name shown on the live page when requesting a quotation, because the displayed amount and equipment can vary by variant.

Bajaj’s product and model pages display photographs of the motorcycle from multiple angles. Use those images to identify the frame-mounted CNG cylinder, seat, lighting and wheel/brake layout, but treat the live variant page as the authority for the colour and equipment combination available in your market.
What the Freedom 125 CNG motorcycle is
Bajaj introduced the Freedom 125 in July 2024 as a motorcycle designed to operate on compressed natural gas and petrol. The CNG cylinder is integrated into the motorcycle rather than supplied as an aftermarket conversion. On the NG04 Disc LED page, Bajaj says the cylinder is OEM factory-fitted and integrated with the product, and says the installation has PESO certification. Those are manufacturer statements; the certification does not remove the need for normal registration, inspection and refuelling precautions.

A separate 2-litre petrol tank provides a second fuel source. The arrangement lets a rider use CNG where a suitable station is available and switch to petrol when CNG is unavailable or when the rider needs the additional range of the combined system.

The 124.6 cc engine, 9.5 PS peak output and 9.7 Nm peak torque place the Freedom 125 in the small-capacity commuter class. Peak figures do not predict acceleration in every situation: rider weight, gradient, tyre pressure, traffic, temperature, fuel quality and load all affect how the motorcycle feels.

Range: what Bajaj claims and how to interpret it
In its 5 July 2024 launch announcement, Bajaj claimed more than 200 km from 2 kg of CNG and up to 330 km of combined range when the 2-litre petrol tank is included. These are Bajaj’s stated figures, not results from an independent test. The brochure’s 102 km/kg CNG and 65 km/L petrol figures are also manufacturer-stated efficiencies.
Actual distance between refuelling stops can be lower or higher. CNG station spacing, queue time, ambient temperature, riding speed, stop-start traffic and the amount dispensed at each fill all matter. A rider who commutes beyond the local CNG network should treat petrol as a reserve and plan a route that includes a petrol station, rather than assuming the headline combined range in every trip.

NG04 variant differences that matter to buyers
Braking hardware
Bajaj’s brochure distinguishes a 240 mm front disc on the Disc LED version from a 130 mm front drum on the Drum LED version. The rear-brake hardware and exact equipment should be checked on the live specification sheet for the trim being ordered. A disc front brake can offer a different lever feel and heat-management characteristic from a drum, but tyre condition, brake adjustment and riding technique remain decisive for stopping distance.
Displays and connectivity
The brochure separates a connected full LCD display from a smaller LCD without connectivity. The connected unit is associated with the higher specification, while lower trims may use the simpler display. Confirm whether the motorcycle you are buying includes phone pairing or other connected functions; do not infer connectivity solely from the presence of an LCD screen.

Lighting and colours
The family listing uses the names NG04, NG04 Drum LED and NG04 Drum, and the product pages show available colours. Colour names and availability can change by market and production batch, so select the colour from the current variant page or dealer order form. The “LED” in a variant name indicates a lighting-related distinction in Bajaj’s nomenclature; confirm the exact headlamp, tail-lamp and indicator equipment before payment.

Official pages can update asynchronously, so a family landing page and an individual model page may show different current amounts temporarily. Before paying a booking amount, ask the dealer to write the exact variant, Delhi or other applicable ex-showroom price, insurance, registration, accessories and every fee on the quotation. Confirm whether a displayed discount is a dealer promotion, a finance-linked benefit or a temporary offer.
How the dual-fuel system works in daily use
- Start with the fuel selected by the motorcycle’s control system. The Freedom 125 carries both CNG and petrol, so read the owner’s manual for the correct changeover procedure and dashboard indicators.
- Refuel CNG only at an authorised station. Stop the engine, follow the station attendant’s instructions and keep ignition sources away from the filling area.
- Use petrol when CNG is unavailable. The 2-litre petrol tank is an auxiliary supply, not a replacement for planning regular CNG stops.
- Monitor both fuel indications. Do not assume that a CNG reading represents kilograms remaining with laboratory precision; temperature and filling pressure influence the amount dispensed.
- Keep the fuel system unmodified. Because the cylinder and plumbing are factory-integrated, alterations can affect certification, warranty and safety.
Safety, inspection and ownership checks
- Inspect the cylinder, valves, lines and mounting points for visible damage after a collision or fall, and stop riding if you smell gas or see a leak.
- Use the inspection and service intervals in Bajaj’s owner documentation; CNG-system work should be performed by trained personnel.
- Keep the motorcycle away from flames and do not smoke while refuelling.
- Verify that the registration and insurance documents identify the dual-fuel configuration correctly.
- Ask the dealer which roadside-assistance and warranty terms apply to the CNG components in your state.

- Check the listed engine output, brake type, display/connectivity, lighting and colour for the exact configuration.
- Ask a local authorised dealer for an on-road quotation that separates ex-showroom price, registration, insurance, taxes and optional accessories.

Bajaj’s 2024 launch announcement claimed up to 50% operating-cost savings versus similar internal-combustion motorcycles. It should be treated as a company claim rather than a guaranteed saving for every owner. Calculate your own result using the CNG price and petrol price in your area, your expected kilometres and the dealer’s service schedule.
