Short answer: choose the current Bajaj CT 110X when rough roads, underbody protection and crash guards matter most. Choose the 2025 Honda Livo when you want a lighter listed package, a lower seat, a fully digital information display and a choice of Drum or Disc variants. Confirm the exact model year, local variant, dealer quote and service access before paying, because “CT 110” can refer to an older Bajaj model while Bajaj’s current official listing is the CT 110X.
The first decision: which Bajaj model are you comparing?
The name in the question needs a precise check. Bajaj’s current official CT range lists the CT 110X, not a new motorcycle simply identified as CT 110. Its published specifications and equipment should not be silently applied to an older CT 110. Open Bajaj’s current CT range and the CT 110X product page, then compare the model code on the dealer’s quotation, registration paperwork and insurance proposal.

This distinction changes the answer. The CT 110X is the defensible current Bajaj choice for a new-bike comparison and is explicitly presented with a belly pan and stronger crash guards. The Honda side of this comparison is the updated 2025 Livo, announced by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India on 20 January 2025. If a dealer offers an older CT 110, treat it as a separate used, discontinued or leftover-stock decision and ask for its exact year and specification sheet.

The Bajaj figures—115.45 cc, 6.99 kW (9.5 PS) and 9.9 Nm—are from Bajaj’s current CT information. Honda’s 109.51 cc engine, 6.47 kW, 9.30 Nm and four-speed gearbox are from its 20 January 2025 launch release. Autocar’s dimensional figures are useful for screening, but a dealer’s current technical sheet takes priority if there is a discrepancy.
Engine output: a small Bajaj advantage on paper
On published peak figures, the CT 110X has 0.59 kW (about 0.8 PS) more power and 0.60 Nm more torque than the 2025 Livo, with both peaks occurring at 7,500 rpm for power and 5,500 rpm for torque. That difference may help when carrying a passenger, climbing a grade or pulling away on a rough surface, but peak numbers do not predict acceleration in every gear. Final drive gearing, throttle calibration, load, tyre condition and riding technique also matter.
The Livo’s 109.51 cc fuel-injected engine is specified with a four-speed gearbox. Honda also states that the 2025 engine meets OBD2B requirements. The CT 110X’s published page supplies the displacement, power and torque figures cited above; ask the dealer for the exact transmission and emissions details of the motorcycle being invoiced rather than assuming that an older CT 110 specification is identical.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFor a daily route that is mostly paved and lightly loaded, the numerical gap is unlikely to be the only deciding factor. For frequent two-up use or broken village roads, the CT 110X’s slightly higher output and protection equipment are a more coherent package. Those are evidence-based tendencies, not a promise of a particular speed or fuel consumption.
Where the CT 110X makes the stronger case: rough-road protection
Bajaj describes the current CT 110X with an engine-protecting belly pan and stronger crash guards. These parts are intended to shield vulnerable lower-engine and side areas from impacts and tip-overs better than a minimalist commuter layout. They do not make the motorcycle indestructible: stones, deep ruts, water crossings and a hard landing can still damage wheels, suspension, controls or the engine.

The 170 mm ground-clearance figure listed by Autocar is 7 mm higher than the Livo’s 163 mm. Clearance is only one part of obstacle ability; approach angle, wheel size, suspension travel, rider line choice and payload also affect whether a bike scrapes. Before buying, inspect the actual belly pan and guards for mounting quality, clearance from the exhaust and access for routine servicing.
Choose the CT 110X when your route regularly includes unpaved lanes, broken tarmac, construction debris, farm access roads or frequent low-speed falls. If your “rough road” is occasional potholes on an otherwise urban commute, the Livo’s lower mass and lower seat may be more useful than extra protection.
Where the Livo stands out: information and variant choice
The 2025 Livo’s fully digital cluster is the clearest equipment advantage documented in Honda’s launch announcement. It can show real-time mileage, distance to empty, service-due information, gear position and eco indicators. These displays help a commuter monitor a trip and plan a fuel stop, but the readouts are informational; real-world consumption still changes with traffic, load, tyre pressure and maintenance.
Honda offers the Livo in Drum and Disc variants. The front-brake choice should be matched to your riding environment and budget rather than treated as an automatic ranking. Get the exact variant name on the quotation, because a showroom display bike may not be the same version that is available in your city.
The Livo is also the lighter and lower motorcycle in the third-party comparison: 112 kg and a 790 mm seat versus 127 kg and 810 mm for the CT 110X. A 15 kg listed difference can make pushing, parking or recovering from a slow-speed lean easier, while a 20 mm lower seat can improve confidence for shorter riders. These measurements cannot establish comfort for every body shape. Sit on both bikes with the intended footwear, place both feet as you normally would and check whether the handlebar, foot pegs and mirrors suit you.

Fuel stops and range planning
Autocar lists an 11-litre tank for the CT 110X and a 9-litre tank for the Livo. A larger tank can reduce the frequency of fuel stops on a remote or irregular route, but it does not guarantee greater range: consumption and usable reserve determine how far you actually travel. Do not convert tank capacity into a range promise without a controlled, repeated measurement on your own route.

The Livo’s listed 112 kg mass is 15 kg below the CT 110X’s 127 kg. That can matter more in a crowded apartment ramp or when reversing out of a parking slot than a small difference in peak power. A rider who regularly handles steep parking ramps should perform that manoeuvre during a supervised test ride, because published kerb weight does not show how the weight is distributed.
Seat reach
The 790 mm Livo seat is listed 20 mm lower than the CT 110X’s 810 mm. Height alone is not a fit guarantee: seat width changes effective reach, and suspension sag changes the standing height slightly. Check reach to the ground, ability to move the bike with one foot down and knee angle at the controls before selecting a variant.
Fuel economy: use the numbers as a range clue, not a promise
BikeWale displays owner-reported mileage of 70 kmpl for the CT 110 and 60 kmpl for the Livo. Team-BHP displays 70 and 60 kmpl with ARAI labels. Those labels are inconsistent, and the sources do not provide a common controlled test, identical route, matching load or identical model year. They therefore cannot establish a definitive head-to-head real-world result.
Use the figures only to set expectations for a small-displacement commuter, then measure your own bike with a repeatable method:

- Buyer's Guide: The seat guard for car seat between seat & console measures 15.75*2.7*1.53", suitable for gaps of 1.43-1.53" in width, please double-check carefully the distance between your seat and the center console before placing an order
- Storage and Filling in One: Differ from traditional single-function gap fillers, gap filler for car incorporates storage function, offers you the convenience of storing phones and various other items, so that you can access them at any time while driving
- Avoid Items Slipping: With the bumps and vibrations of the car, phones, keys may fall into the seat crevices, which is difficult to pick up, and distracts the driver's attention. Car gap seat filler fills gaps seamlessly to create an effective barrier
- Easy to Install: Car side seat gap filler is easy to install, simply insert it into the gap between the seat and the center console, gap seat filler for car can fit tightly without affecting the normal adjustment of the seat and the use of the seat belt

- Fill the tank to the same level each time and record the odometer or trip reading.
- Ride a representative mix of your normal traffic, passenger load and road surface.
- Refill at the same level and divide kilometres travelled by litres added.
- Repeat for several tanks; a single short trip is distorted by idling, traffic and fuel-pump cut-off differences.
Keep tyre pressures, chain condition and service intervals in line with the owner’s manual. Honda provides an official owner-manual portal; ask the Bajaj dealer for the manual applicable to your exact CT 110X variant.
Price and value: compare today’s invoice, not an old headline
Honda’s 20 January 2025 release gave launch ex-showroom Delhi prices of ₹83,080 for the Drum and ₹85,878 for the Disc Livo. These are dated launch prices, not a current nationwide quote. Registration, insurance, taxes, handling fees, accessories and location can change the on-road total.
Bajaj’s product information and dealer pricing can change, so obtain a current CT 110X quote for the same city and purchase date. Ask each dealer for an itemised sheet showing ex-showroom price, compulsory charges, insurance, registration, optional accessories, discounts and delivery date. Comparing one bike’s ex-showroom figure with the other bike’s on-road figure will produce a false winner.
Availability is part of value. A slightly cheaper motorcycle that is not in stock, has a long delivery delay or lacks a convenient authorised service point may cost more in time than the initial saving. Confirm parts and service access in the area where the bike will actually be used.

Choose the CT 110X when protection is the priority
- Your daily route contains frequent broken surfaces, gravel or unpaved sections.
- You value Bajaj’s documented belly pan and stronger crash guards.
- You often carry a passenger or loads and prefer the CT 110X’s higher published power and torque.
- An 810 mm seat and 127 kg listed mass are manageable for you.
- The local CT 110X quote, stock status and service support are satisfactory.
Choose the Livo when lightness and information matter most
- You spend most of your time on paved urban or suburban roads.
- A 790 mm seat and 112 kg listed mass make parking and foot reach easier.
- You want a digital cluster with mileage, distance-to-empty, service-due, gear-position and eco information.
- You want to choose between Drum and Disc variants.
- The exact 2025 variant is available locally at a competitive, itemised on-road price.
Do not choose from mileage claims alone
The 70-versus-60 figures are not a controlled comparison, and they refer to differently labelled third-party listings. If fuel cost is decisive, estimate annual kilometres, use a conservative local consumption assumption and compare actual fuel receipts after ownership rather than relying on a website headline.

A practical buying process
- Write down the exact model. Record “Bajaj CT 110X” or the precise older CT 110 year, and “Honda Livo 2025 Drum” or “Honda Livo 2025 Disc.” Do not accept a verbal model name alone.
- Check the physical identity. Match the VIN, engine number, model code and manufacturing date on the motorcycle, quotation and registration documents.
- Inspect the equipment. On the CT 110X, verify the belly pan and crash guards. On the Livo, cycle through the digital cluster and verify the quoted brake variant.
- Measure your fit. Sit in your normal riding position, test both feet and move each bike out of a parking space. Include the passenger if two-up use is routine.
- Ride the route that matters. Include a speed breaker, a rough patch, a tight turn, a slope and stop-start traffic where permitted. This reveals control and reach better than a straight showroom lane.
- Collect matching quotes. Request same-day ex-showroom and on-road prices from both dealers in the same city, with insurance and every fee itemised.
- Verify support. Confirm the nearest authorised workshop, expected service booking process, warranty terms and availability of model-specific consumables and parts.
- Read the manuals. Use Honda’s official manual resource and obtain the applicable Bajaj manual before delivery so you understand running-in, warning lights, load limits and maintenance schedules.
- Make the decision using your route. Give the CT 110X extra weight if underbody protection is repeatedly useful; give the Livo extra weight if lower reach, lower mass and digital information solve daily problems.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Mistake: treating CT 110 and CT 110X as identical
Fix: use the CT 110X figures only when the motorcycle is the current CT 110X. Ask the dealer to identify the year and variant in writing if the advertisement says only “CT 110.”
Mistake: presenting launch pricing as today’s price
Fix: label the Livo figures as January 2025 Delhi launch ex-showroom prices and obtain a current local quote before comparing affordability.
Mistake: assuming listed mileage is guaranteed
Fix: recognise that BikeWale owner reports and Team-BHP figures use inconsistent labels and no shared test protocol. Track fuel over several tanks after purchase.
Recommended Free Tools
Mistake: selecting by seat height alone
Fix: check seat width, balance, handlebar reach and the effort needed to push the bike. A lower seat does not automatically mean a better fit.
Mistake: comparing unmatched variants
Fix: compare Drum with Drum or Disc with Disc where possible, and include insurance, registration and accessories in both on-road totals.
Mistake: assuming equipment from a display bike
Fix: switch on the exact Livo cluster and inspect the exact CT 110X protection parts on the unit named in your paperwork. Features can vary by model year or variant.
Bottom-line recommendation
For a current new-bike purchase, the Bajaj CT 110X is the better fit for rough roads and impact protection because Bajaj documents its belly pan and stronger crash guards, and its published engine output is slightly higher. The 2025 Honda Livo is the better fit for lighter, lower, information-rich commuting because the listed package is 112 kg with a 790 mm seat, a fully digital cluster and Drum or Disc choices.
There is no universal winner. Make the final call only after matching the exact model year and variant, sitting on both motorcycles, riding a representative route, checking local service access and comparing same-day on-road quotes. The manufacturer information is available from Bajaj’s CT 110X page and Honda’s 2025 Livo announcement; the comparative dimensions can be cross-checked in Autocar India’s listing.
